I cook my grits in water and a little bit of carnation milk. The milk immediately breaks down the grittiness, making them so smooth and creamy. I sprinkle a taste of salt in them and i butter them when done. Not gonna lie but I absolutely love sweet and salty grits also but i dont add sugar in them bc not everyone likes sweet grits especially if we have waffles and pancakes too.
