I love each one’s interpretation because, growing up in the South, I’ve had each type of crust. Cakey cobbler crust, pie crust, some crumbling like biscuits -it’s a preference thing.

Same, I use biscuits for quick peach cobbler. Mix cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, ginger, and vanilla in with biscuit dough and flatten or semi flatten to line the bottom and pour peach filling. Then top with rest of biscuits.

Sandra's is closest to my grandma's but my grandma puts flour in her filling and it's kind of milky looking and we use vanilla. My grandma's is the best in my opinion.

The recipes that so best on this show are the ones that just keep things simple. And I totally agree. The recipes presented ARE simple dishes which are perfect thw way they are in their nature state. When the contestants get too ambitious or fancy, it doesn't play well.

The condensed milk caramel can be made by simmering the can in water slowly over a couple if hours, turn it over every hour. The longer you boil it, the thicker it gets. Careful not to let the water all boil out.
