@ruben-41503 жыл бұрын
@@gracehernandez9620 no it is not dangerous for yourself but you need to watchout for people stealing your logage. What I personally did was booking a sleeping cabin they are most of the time close to 10 euros in the balkans. You need to share them with strangers most of the time, but you can close the cabin off so it is the lesser of the risks.

Would you suggest a big backpack for interrailing or a small suitcase? my friends and i are planning on only staying in airbnbs, so i'm not sure which one would be more convenient

venus aby i took a medium sized rucksack for 2 months and i still felt like i had too much stuff! but if you’re staying in air bnbs then a suitcase may be nicer because you won’t be hurting your back and don’t have to be as cautious with you belongings (sorry for the late reply!)

Hey, so last summer I went on a city trip on my own (to test if solo traveling is something for me). I really enjoyed it. I went to Prague by Flixbus (don't recommend that bus, it was horrible 😂), stayed at a hostel and did some free city Tours. I all really enjoyed it. But there was one down side. I ended up not really meeting any people at all. I'm an introvert person and the hostel i stayed in didn't really had a common room or whatever. But there must be something I should do differently next time. Do you have any tips for me? I'm planning to do an interrail trip in about 2 years and would be great if I meet some people along the way. Also I'm not in my twenties anymore, which most solo travels are. Do you think that might be a factor why I didn't really meet any people?
@nathangiovannini32502 жыл бұрын
Hi Thijs! Especially for introvert people the right situation is a great push to meet people and friends. In an hostel with a common room is soo easy to start a conversation (it needs just a deep breath before). Then, activities are always a conversation passepartout, where you share an experience there is immediately a connection. Good luck for your next trip!
@del79202 жыл бұрын
Some hostel's have a design layout that allows for more social interactions. My 1st hostel in Turkey I was really disappointed that I didn't make many friends and I blamed it on my introvertedness and then in my second hostel it was so easy to make friends because we usually had breakfast together or everyone would be in the common area in the evening.

Hi there, Thinking of planning an interrail trip... One thing I am confused on... Do you just write the train you want to board into your pass or do you have to show your pass at a ticket office and get a train ticket? Can you just jump on the trains? And is the interrail pass your ticket? You said you would be booking your next train when you arrived in a country? Can you explain what you meant by this? Thanks
@CocoDay5 жыл бұрын
if you want to reserve a seat then you can buy an additional ticket (usually under 10 euros), but otherwise you can just write the train you want to go on on your interrail ticket! you can just jump on trains but be aware that you may not get a seat if it's one of the busier trains so you could sit on the floor or have to reserve a seat and i said i booked my next train when i arrived in another country because i did reserve seats at the ticket office literally when i got off another train (i just felt more organised this way and knew i wouldn't have to sit on the floor haha) you don't have to do that though!

what do you do when you arrive in a new town so early in the morning at 4am?
@CocoDay5 жыл бұрын
i never really did arrive that early, i tried to time it so i arrived at least when cafes opened so i could wait in those before checking in but if you have to, i guess you could wander around, wait in the train station or start planning you day??

Hi! Your video was extremely helpful! I have a question! I am studying abroad in Spain this June and after I am trying to plan a trip around Europe. I am trying to decide whether it is better to go alone or go with a friend? I’ve been to Europe twice before with family and a group and I had a hard time making other connections and meeting people. So basically on one hand I agree with you that I will prolly meet more people alone. But also I feel like it is maybe a lot to bite off all on my own and having a second person would be nice to help with cooking and planning etc. Which do you think is better?
@CocoDay5 жыл бұрын
Levi Stidham i would say if you really don’t want to go alone, then only go with ONE friend because that way, the two of you are still approachable to other solo/group travellers and you will still make friends. when i went i noticed that groups larger than 3 would keep to themselves and weren’t as sociable because they were intimidating and also didn’t NEED to makes friends. hope this helps!

Fay neerg you don’t have to make reservations if you don’t want to, as long as you write the train time on your ticket you can get on the train BUT you might not get a seat if all of them are reserved ALSO you could be kicked off the train if it has too many people on

Nicole Fewtrell yeah that’s right except i would actually say it should’ve been £2500 because i had a little shopping spree on my last day and got tattoos... 😅 the amount i spent varied each day so some would be £30 and others £50 (including accommodation etc) i would just make sure you’ve got a reserve fund in case of an emergency :)
