I just read Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe about a month ago and it was one of my favorite reads this year! I'm asking for the second book for Christmas and I'm looking forward to reading it. I love your reading vlogs, can't wait to see more in the future :)

Honestly, what you didn't like about the second Aristotle and Dante book made me want to read it even more. Reading about so much homophobia has been hard as I've been dealing with it in my own life, so having books were everything is perfect is good for escapism. Also, the fact that sexuality is not explored in detail is a relief. I don't mind sex scenes, but sometimes it makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable and even anxious (that happened to me in Norwegian Wood and in Call me by your name)

i read aristotle & dante sooo many years ago (maybe 6/7 years ago ?) i really ought to re-read it too. also i loved hearing your honest thoughts on the second book in the series, even though it didn't quite meet your expectations. i haven't read it yet but i think i would've been bugged by the same things. (PS : the lighting around 5:02 is SO beautiful, it really complements your features and idk it's really cosy & aesthetically pleasing)

yes i have and loved it :) i think the no quotations is to give the effect of not knowing what is spoken aloud and what is just in their heads. they’re both so bad at communication anyway and this emphasises that. that’s my interpretation tho
