This looks like a curious delicacy. What does this taste like? Does it taste like coconut shortbread or something like that? I've never eaten cookies like that before.

It's has a very special flavour. More delicate than a shortbread. It crumbles immediately and melts like chocolate upon touching your tongue. You have to try it out.

my dough turned out to be more yellow and also it's too moist. I've followed the exact same amount as shown is the recipe.. could it be becaise of the humidity?

It could be because of the humidity. Perhaps try adding a bit of water at a time until it reaches the right texture? The dough should look like on kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqTdapJ3gtSSp8k.

I tried to make this kuih bangkit but after I put in only 2 tablespoon of coconut cream the dough goes limp. :( I don't know what went wrong. Any advise?

Hi Grace, please change the temperature from 120 C to 150 C for your printed recipe. I used the printed recipe and my Bangkit won't bangkit due to the wrong temperature. 😓

+Aduka Putra preferably no. These are traditionally white and its white yellowish colour is almost a trade mark. but of course u can add if you really want to :)

My experience: it had a strong egg flavor, and you can also taste the starch, it has a hint of coconut but just a little bit. It didn't work for me. I hope this helps someone in the future :)
