How to make white, fat, fragrant coconut jam is simple that anyone can do.

Coconut jam is considered as a national jam of Vietnam, every New Year to Spring, the house has a plate of coconut jam to treat guests. How to make coconut jam is very simple,
*Ingredient:
- Tanned coconut (I choose the type of coconut that has just arrived, the rice is thick but not completely hard, the outer shell is still fresh.
- Sugar
- Non-sugar fresh milk
With this quantity, I use 100ml of fresh milk without sugar, because when I slug with coconut jam, my pan is small, so I have to divide it into 2 times, each time I use 50ml of milk.

Take out the coconut so that it is still a big piece so that when it is shaved, it is long and beautiful, and when it is shaved, soak it in salted lemon juice. Rinse several times with clean water and rinse again with boiling water to remove all the oil. Do this step carefully, your coconut will be easy to crystallize and keep for a long time.

I use a ratio of 2:1 for 2 parts coconut is 1 part sugar, everyone remember to add a little salt when adding sugar to the coconut. The specific quantity in the video is: 480 grams of coconut and 240 grams of white granulated sugar, ½ mcf of salt. I marinate the sugar overnight or at least 5 hours for the sugar to penetrate into the coconut

- When making coconut jam, the most important thing is to sew the slugs, people work hard on low heat, when the sugar has just dried up, add fresh milk without sugar, stir until the sugar crystallizes and pops out. Want to keep it for a long time, after the coconut has crystallized and the sugar comes out, I dry it in the sun or dry it in a 100 degree Celsius oven and open the oven door for about 30 minutes. My coconut will be very dry and will last a long time.
