Keratin Treatment by Pure Brazilian Reconstructor was done at Cocoon Salon. Keratin treatment for frizzy hair, damaged hair, damage due to hair straightening. This is how to do Keratin treatment for Indian hair using Pure Brazilian Original reconstructor solution.

Following are the steps followed while doing Keratin Hair Treatment
-Check the scalp and hair texture and hair health
-Wash the hair to open the cuticle and apply Pure Brazilian Anti Residue shampoo. Leave the shampoo for 5 minutes to penetrate the cuticle. Repeat if necessary until hair has a “squeaky clean” feeling. Focus on the hairline, nape of neck and mid-shaft to end.
-Towel dry the hair. Hair should be damp, but not “too wet” or “too dry”. Use a blow-dryer if needed.
-Divide the hair into 4 sections
-Measure 60 ml of Pure Brazilian Reconstructor Solution. Add more
if necessary, but this is usually enough.
-Starting at the nape , using ¼” to ½” subsections, use applicator brush to lightly dust the Reconstructor onto a section of hair.
-Apply root to end but do not apply directly to the scalp. Comb through with a fine tooth comb to remove excess product. Apply evenly.
-Wrap the hair with clear foil and leave it for 45 minutes for the proper product application
-Blow-dry hair 100% using a round brush or paddle brush. Get the hair as smooth as possible.
-Depending on the condition of the hair, the flat iron’s temperature should range between 160-23 degrees (C). Using 2-3 inch
sections, flat iron from root to end using consistent pressure. Pass over 5-6 times. If the client desires a straighter effect, pass over 6-10 times.
-After 48 hours use post-treatment shampoo and conditioner to optimise treatment and ensure long-lasting results!
The model in the video has little dry and frizzy hair and she has not done any straightening or chemical treatment before. After checking the hair, the hairstylist advised her to go for the keratin treatment and the product he chose was pure Brazilian original reconstructor. You can see the result after and before keratin treatment.
Keratin treatment benefits include hair smoothening, reducing frizziness, fixing any damage, protecting the hair and make the hair shiny, healthy.

i went on the internet to find out more about keratin.. turns out the common foods that we eat like onions, ginger, garlic has keratin in it.. basically all sulfur producing foods have keratin in them. we all already know the benefits of applying onion juice to our scalp for rejuvenating dead follicles. personally i feel the more chemicals, the heat from the blowdryer, the straightener is just not good. im sure her hair looked good for a few days but is she going to keep that hair without washing it.. what happens after she washes it after a few days? does her hair remain like this ? obviously not.. so basically all this is just temporary quick fix formulas. and these treatments are expensive. here in Mumbai it costs anything between rs. 2500 to 8000!! dont know about others my hair care routine is pretty simple. onion juice and fenugreek powder mixed and applied everyday for 30 mins then wash with plain water only, oil massage atleast 3 times a week. hair mask of yogurt, besan, coconut milk and a teaspoon of honey atleast once in 10 days. i use only flaxseed gel as natural moisteriser for my hair. i make flaxseed gel at home by simply boiling 2 tablespoon flaxseed in 2 glasses of water for 15-20 mins. strain , let cool and use..thats it. apart from this i have a healthy diet of lots of grains, seeds nuts and green vegetables. drink lots of water to flush toxins out of your system and your skin and hair will look good without any effort.

yes Ritu.. good food and lifestyle is the only "cure" for anything.. unfortunately lot of people are carried away by glamour and advertisements. my basic formula is what you can eat is what you can apply on your body.. nothing else can be ever good for you. did our grandmothers have shampoo's, cream's and salon treatments? never !!! infact they did not even wash their hair for days because they had lustrous hair and washing hair was in itself a huge task!!!! my dadi used to save water used to wash the handi in which butter was churned. she rinsed her hair with that water after it turned a bit sour. she ate whatever grew around her being south indians obviously we ate a lot of coconuts and we are pure vegetarians. believe it or not my dadi died when she was 92 without any lifestyle diseases and she still had some black hair on her head!!!

Keratin treatment’s purpose is not to straighten the hair but repairing and smoothing. So the hair which looks straightened after the keratin treatment will lost within 4-5 months with sulphate free shampoo application. If you want hair straightening permanent, then go for perm hair straightening. Consult a salon for right advise.

It lasts about 6 months and need to maintain the hair by only using sulphate free shampoo... more than the look of the hair the purpose of keratin treatment is to repair, strengthen and softer... it looks like straightened hair but purpose is not to straighten but as said above. Straightening look is another benefit of keratin hair treatment because they use hot iron to seal the keratin product in the hair to repair, protect the hair.
