One of mine is hearing fragrances being called "cheapies". There's nothing cheap about a single dollar/ pound that folks have to work for. A $40 fragrance could be as much as 5 hours of work for someone, nothing about working for something that brings you a bit of joy in life is cheap. It's not hard to say "affordable" or even "reasonably priced" 🤭 'cause some of these house are unreasonable lol.

I call fragrances inexpensive, not cheap. I use this term with many Middle Eastern scents. Lattafa and Maison Alhambra are inexpensive Middle Eastern brands. Amouage and Navitus are expensive Middle Eastern brands.

8:50 Unfortunately, I was once so sparing with a perfume that it changed its smell after more than 5 years. But it was my first self-purchased designer perfume. In the end I had to throw it away... and then the next mistake: the same perfume had already been discontinued at the time and I didn't know it 🙈 now I can only buy dupes of it - I learned my lesson 😂

Ooof, yes to all of the above.!. I dont gatekeep, but if im wearing a fragrance thats cost a lot of money, like Guidance for example, there are times I may be vague about it because I already know the person asking may be struggling financially. I know they would google it and see the price. If im wearing something like a middle eastern or a zara, etc of course I'll share. I was wearing a Tom Ford one recently when I got my nails done. I had a decant in my bag and so many people including the business owners asked what it was. I offered my decant round for a spray, which was gladly accepted, and also tried to give the thing to the business owner. But they were so shy to accept it even though they loved the fragrance. I just try to be sensitive to other peoples situations when I talk about fragrance . I would have done exactly the same with the Lidl situation, 'shes wearing My Way 🙌
