Yes Kurdish is right, as I heavily mention in vid we MUST set ram to Auto otherwise we’ll have texture issues. Also bear in mind pre loading shader cache when we first install does take some time but after will make textures better too 👍

Your setting is probably set to performance which adjusts things to accomodate your specs.

Honestly I've run it 900 p and 17 w. No in game graphics settings changes and done just fine. That is My favorite thing about the Ally X. Minimal tweaking required

I was able to run COD at 40+FPS without changing anything other than dropping to 900 p in turbo. Still solid on 17 w. You know me. The fewer clicks to get me in my game,, the happier I'll be.

I really have to disagree with using NIS over FSR in any scenario. 😅 But each to their own. Now that the scallers are fixed I highly recommend using FSR 3 and FSR Frame Gen and youll never drop bellow 90FPS in zombies I was getting 115FPS on everything set to high and particals, shadows etc at Norma (turn depth of field off and water) and reduce motion blur and hey presto! You can further increase stability by having dynamic resolution at 60fps goal and FSR 3 will do a way bwtter job upscaling it back to 1080p than NIS

Great tips, I gave it a go. Looks and plays great but I am having heat issues.... I live in a very hot country and I'm a little nervous I'll fry my Ally. Any tips to help reduce heat? Resolution lower maybe?

Great question Norman - yes you can try reducing resolution but I’d recommend just going for it -Ally’s are built pretty sturdy and the fans were designed for hot conditions 👍

@PeteTalksTech thanks for the feedback. As mentioned, it's really hot here in my country Namibia. Average temps in summer top +40⁰C. I played for about 30 minutes, and the Ally got close to 100⁰C which was the cause for my concern. I'll try dropping the resolution a bit to see if that helps.

After doing all this has gave me insane packet burst and extrapolation issues, didn't have them before changing all these settings, wouldn't recommend doing this.

Great question! Both are very similar and definitely worth experimenting with, to my eyes I gravitated towards NIS over FSR3 but it's defo a personal choice, as is stuff like 900p, increasing visual options to lower fps too so I'd love to hear what tweaks you and our great viewers find is best! 👍

Yes in Settings there’s a Reduce Motion Sickness toggle thankfully - I suffer with motion sickness too so this is essential for us! 😅

Because you’re using scaling and scaling reduces reolsution you ether run at 100 or use any scaling technique that’s it

Yes these settings have gave me frequent packet bursts and extrapolation, it is something to do with the CPU not the router, try setting your vram usage to 8G not auto

Great question Joseph! Yes these will absolutely benefit z1 extreme, and we'll get an extra 5-10fps using these settings on Ally X just like all games due to the extra RAM that the Ally X has...

If you're into rogue, it's say dead cells or neon abyss. You can put so many hours into those, and they're not too demanding

Great question! I’d recommend Balatro and Vampire Survivors - both run on Silent so like 8 plus hours on Ally X, and both are sooooo addictive! Then of course lots of old school SNES games too!

I’m running the same controller sensitivity as I did on MW3 and it’s the same as I use on an Xbox controller too. Check your dead zones

I'm sorry but I never had to increase from 17w ever on any game I've played on my Ally X. I've tested games from COD warzone, cyberpunk 2077, spiderman, halo, fallout4 and gta 5 and many more titles. Never seen a reason to use 25w or even 30w as all the games play smooth as long as you config each game
