The damage would be inconsistent on maps with dog rounds because if you test it through multiple plays on the same map then depending on when the first dog wave happens. If it happens sooner, then zombies health won’t multiply as fast by the later round because the dog wave skipped the zombie wave multiplier. If your on a map with elemental factors that do damage to zombies. Then one zombie could have different health compared to the zombie next to it.

Easy p, I’m guessing you’re going to do the bo2 guns one day. I warn you they are very hard to test. On victus maps you have to worry about the headshot permaperk which increases damage like crazy, and in die rise zombies have armor, and stuff. So just be careful, honestly town and origins probably the best place to test guns nothing to mess with results

I like the double barrel just as much as the next guy, but I think people really sleep on spas12 and hs10. The double barrel will fire both shots in about a quarter of a second and deal 7600 damage. In about that same time the spas can get 3 shots dealing 7200. And the hs10 can get 2 (but really it's 4 because it's dual wielded) dealing 9600. But then after this quarter of a second the double barrel needs to reload while the spas can shoot like 22 more shells before needing to reload. And it reloads faster than the dB. And with the hs10 you can unload in 1.4 seconds and in that time deal a maximum of 38,000 damage. That is dummy burst damage. People be sleeping on these two guns as "get off me" tools.

I recently started playing zombies on BO1 again, I remember as a teenager that I loved the Galil the most, but I always went for the HK on higher rounds because of the ammo. Now I wonder what the hell I was thinking 😂 when you get to mid 30’s and higher the damage is so bad that the extra ammo doesn’t do anything anyway

Despite the Galil being the best Assault Rifle, i always go for the Commando or AUG instead because i hate the sight you get on the Galil when you pack a punch it. There's like a 1 in 10-20 chance you'll get the normal red dot, and you can't re-pack it to change the sight. If i got the sight you have in the video i'd no joke get a different gun

The feeling for chasing stronger weapons in Bo1 is great, but very quickly it all just turns into get the wonder weapon or get fucked😂 They kinda fix it in Cold war but then you can just spawn the weapon you want then upgrade it's rarity. Very hard to balance

Rpk is better than hk for camping easily, or just running. There’s no argument at all that hk is better, if anything it’s commando, Aug and Galil versus hk. Rpk just shoots so much faster and even if hk does more damage it can’t damage as quick. And yeah rpk in general isn’t the best LMG in all the games but for black ops 1 it’s the best camping gun apart from ray gun on verruckt for example.

Interesting video, but I have to say, I disagree quite heavily with your approach. You say at the beginning that your main criterion for evaluating these weapons is performance on "high rounds", but then seem to primarily concern with your stats like DPS and ammunition efficiency. The reality is these stats really don't matter at all for high rounds. Most weapons on this list are a waste of a weapon slot, are not worth pack a punching in the first place, and should not be used to try and actually kill zombies after about round 15 unless you are roleplaying. As a result, I think you badly undervalue utility as a weapon attribute here. The unupgraded spectre, ballistic knife and dual CZs are better than pretty almost everything on this list for high rounds because of their mobility, which is vastly more useful than DPS. The crossbow and wonder weapons, which are actually effective weapons that should be used, don't make the list because they're "special". While I understand the reasoning for this and respect the desire to create a list with a fair and consistent process, it does somewhat undermine the utility of the tier list to exclude all the most important weapons from it. There are a few other issues too, in my opinion. Too little significance is given to the intrinsic utility of wall weapons, no consideration is given to the fact that explosive weapons scale in damage over the course of the game (an M72 on round 80 is a very different beast to one on round 5), and there's no discussion of the fact that some weapons have inflated value on certain maps (such as the trench gun on der riese for killing dogs) - though I understand if you excluded this for consistency reasons. You're also quick to dismiss the undermount grenade launcher on the M16, despite it having by far the largest AOE of any weapon in the game, giving it unmatched power with instakill. For this reason, the M16 is *the* weapon of choice for call of the dead co-op high rounds, for instakill rounds wherever possible (primarily moon, shang and ascension), and for maximising the value of instakill powerups. That said, it is refreshing to see someone produce a tier list that a) takes a consistent and methodical approach to ranking things, and b) is produced by someone with at least a cursory understanding of how the game actually works. Despite the criticism I advance above, this is probably the best video of its kind that I have seen on this platform.

Honestly I agree with pretty much everything you said. So a few things: - When I refer to high rounds, it’s more for the regular weapons themselves (my fault for not providing context). So when I talk about their performance, I’m mainly talking about how they are in the 30s, 40s, etc. (not high rounds primarily but from a regular weapon perspective they aren’t very useful past this point) - DW CZ75, Spectre, Ballistic Knife are more important than most weapons in this list for actual high rounds, and that’s why I’m eventually gonna split this up between: Performance and Importance This list mainly being about performance while a list about importance will show how important a weapon like the Spectre is even more so compared to a weapon like the Galil, Commando, etc since hardly anyone would take a Spectre over those weapons but that’s why context really matters. There’s no perfect way to do the list at all since there’s so many variables you have to take into account, and with this series in particular, I’m trying to be as consistent as possible with bullet weapons, so that’s why with non-bullet weapons I’m going to be talking about non-bullet weapons under a different category for a separate video. But I still will try and give an analysis for the weapons for those who disagree with the decision and try to give an area of where it’d probably be ranked if it had been on the list. Same with Wall Weapons when talking about subjectivity. While wall weapons are definitely a plus, the value of the wall buy again becomes super subjective especially when talking stats. Overall though you’re spot on with what you said, that’s on me for not giving more context because when I started this series it was really for the purpose of helping people know which guns to grab when just playing basic zombies in the later rounds (not super high rounds but from a regular weapon perspective such as 30s-40s). From a pure high round perspective (trying to get to round 100 and whatnot), the list would be completely different.

I definitely respect the impulse to rank in a way that’s consistent and minimises subjectivity - far too many tier list type videos stray far too far into the domain of subjectivity and what the author “feels” is good rather than actually adopting a set approach and applying it consistently and objectively. The only thing I would still say, is whether you define “high rounds” from more of a world record POV (say 200+, or instas maybe) or a more casual POV (maybe 30+), I still really don’t see any reason to be using most of these weapons. A galil might technically kill a zombie on round 30, but like, unless you specifically want to use the galil because you think it’s fun, why bother? Say you’re playing der riese … why would your load-out not be waffe, M&S and ray gun? Certainly ammo shouldn’t be a concern, it’s relatively straight forward to camp to round 50 using the waffe primarily and occasionally the other weapons to create power ups when ammo is low. I just can’t see any reason to have anything in your inventory other than some combination of wonder weapons, M&S, points guns, bow, speed weapons, or dedicated instakill weapons - except if you’re setting up and haven’t got the weapons you want yet, then you may need a stop gap. The only other reason would be role play or some nebulous sense of weapons that are “fun”, which is quite hard to account for in a ranking :p

@@Stormzyra I agree that it’s just best to go for WWs and Crossbow and M&S, the thing is that if I use that logic then it kinda gets to a point where there’s not really a reason to make a ranking in the first place. This is where the performance vs importance role comes in again, because while the Galil performs better than almost any other regular weapon in bo1, it’s simply not as important as it seems when running a high round game. The list is more catered to if you’re going to use regular weapons, this is how they are ranked from worst performing to best performing. When I started the series it was because I had a lot of friends in a discord community that either were either new to zombies and/or weren’t extremely knowledgeable on zombies and what weapons to use. I’d say my target audience is probably for those are intermediate players who aren’t looking to always go to 100+ but are trying to do better and that’s probably why for those who only high round the list may not be super agreeable but it’s understandable considering how things are.

Only reason DT is banned is because it’s different within the games. I wouldn’t have DT 2.0 since it’s not fair to WaW and Bo1 so that’s mainly why DT 1.0 got cut. That way neither game has the advantage.
