My gripe with the SMR is how bad it is in Zombies compared to Multiplayer. I remember 1 - 2 tapping people in MP meanwhile you have to magdump in Zombies to get only one kill.

this list was a bit surprising to me, I regularly play the map Tranzit and considering the list, the fact that Tranzit has a lot less good weapon choices and the best wall gun in Tranzit is the AK-74u according to this list; it's not a surprise that Tranzit is a significantly harder map to play

What an awesome video, much respect for putting out a video that would normaly be made a decade ago into today, I love these old school videos about old school zombies. The video was so enjoyable to watch man the fact you went to get stats and footage for all weapons shows care and passion and it's admirable. I do think it would be more consistent to test all the weapons in the same round as it would give a better idea of how well they compare to each other. Some weapons in the list you said were bad but they were destroying the zombies because it was on a lower round so they look better than they are, same round testing for all guns would solve that. Anyways man please keep doing more of these ranking videos, you can rank a lot of things in zombies, I'll go watch the others.

Appreciate it, the reason some weapons are shown on different rounds is just the recording I have of them. I do several games with them and test them throughout their falloff times, and when I go to retrieve the footage, I’m constantly swapping weapons out to save time. All recordings are clipped on Xbox, so it’s just taken for a few seconds and I have limited space so I’m only able to have a certain amount at a time.

Fun Fact about both the HAMR and AN-94: Their rate of fire for the first 2 (for the AN-94) or7 bullets (for the HAMR) is 50% faster than firing off the rest. That's part of why the HAMR has a lot of recoil.

This is technically just a theory but something I noticed from experience playing BO2 that might help explain some of the inconsistency with the HAMR, is that zombies sometimes spawn in with miniscule differences in base health. For example, I'd have 2 newly spawned zombies in front of me but one dies in one headshot while the second survives one headshot with the head intact. My theory is that certain zombies may sometimes have a tiny difference in their health, so small that it essentially never noticably affects normal gameplay, but on occasion you can get a gun with the exact right damage on the exact right round such that a zombie can live a headshot outside the head knockoff range with something ridiculously small like say 10 health. Alternatively, it might be something else like bullet damage that's slightly varied, but I'm not the dev so no way to know which variable is changing for sure lol. It's been about a year since I tested this so I don't remember if it was only one specific map (it happened on Buried at least, don't know if any others), or what gun(s) I got it to happen with but I definitely remember it being a thing I was able to replicate enough to confirm something was off.

I ran several tests on this, from my research, the HAMR (Buried and Origins version only) was able to 1 shot (K) on round 7-10 which just simply should not happen. I tested several other weapons on those maps and had no issues on either of those maps, not only that, I found a couple small inconsistencies with the HAMR on Nuketown. I’m like 99% sure it’s a HAMR thing and not a zombie thing.

agree 100% with the list except one minor detail. The m16 grenadelauncher should be used. It has an EXTREMELY high explosion range so for insta kills its the most efficient weapon in the game. Especially prevelant on tranzit high rounding on farm where you can basically finish a 30+ round with a single insta kill since the spawns are so fast.

I like both five sevens but the issue is: Single FS: Overall efficiency is a little lower than needed, having approximately 231,000 max damage while its competition has well over 300,000 max damage. DW FS: The Dual Wield capabilities are fun but you’ll find yourself either missing several shots or shots not hitting zombies heads, which will ultimately end up in less and less zombies being taken out overall. They are on a similar level to the Python/RNMA, but they aren’t quite as statistically reliable as the Python/RNMA (especially in DPS)

Really does showcase how hard it is to rank weapons because the B23R objectively sucks from a pure numbers stand point but the fact that it doesn't one hit after round 4 is actually to its benefit as a super early round point gun. My go to strats on Die Rise and Motd involve buying it round like 2 and racking up points with it untill about round 6 or 7. Like its one of the worst guns in the game but it has a very specific niche that it fills perfectly so at the same time its a gun ive used more than most in bo2. So i have no idea how i would rank it. I cant really call it good, but its good at what it does.

Not sure if you skipped the criteria, but the wall weapon advantage isn’t taken into account (unless 2 weapons are similar and one is a wall weapon). Also the damage on the SMR is bad but it’s still even better than the b23r while having double the ammo. Both guns are bad but the SMR is gonna perform better.

I think a bo3 version of the list would be...kind of invalidated by the alternate ammo types? They're so good, that they makes weapons like the Kuda basically at the top of the list, which kinda ruins the whole point. I think some kind of video showing off really niche, but useful knowledge would be really cool. Difficult to make of course, but I bet that you could find some awesome fun facts about these games :)

i'm not aware if you have a PC that can run call of duty games, but it might be worth looking into getting them so you have access to console commands this would make this entire process much easier and quicker, as you could simply spawn into a map, give yourself god mode, infinite ammo, all weapons and even change the round you're on however, on black ops 2 you could have still done this on your console if you had just used theatre mode to give yourself a mod menu, which does everything that console commands can do, and more

The initial few shots are faster and have higher recoil before slowing down and stabilizing, so that could have affected your headshots and consistency. Though I've never gotten it on Buried (don't play much Buried in general) so I don't know about how it performs there. Also cap on the MTAR being stable, that thing's recoil is crazy

1. I said false on the HAMR bit. 2. Yes, I test everything from the damage to the ROF to the recoil etc. in the footage, you can see that it only took one shot to the head for the zombies head to pop off (which shouldn’t happen on round 10 under any circumstances) 3. The MTAR recoil is bad when unupgraded, however, when upgraded, then recoil is stabilized, just like the other high recoil weapons.

AN-94 being better than the Galil isn’t even an opinion, it’s a fact. The stats you record don’t seem to imply that but I think it’s better because the mags are bigger so Galil is just constantly reloading. Galil just cannot compete in terms of taking out 10 at once without reloading, if you think Commando is better or worse that’s fine but AN-94 just takes them out so much quicker, maybe it goes through bodies better in some way?

the brm from black ops 3 doesn't feel like it's a genuinely good weapon in zombies. I think comparing it to the lsat doesn't make sense cause the lsat is very op. if you have the points you can get at round 2 whereas the brm is a box weapon and it's random when you are gonna get it

1. Both are box weapons, however, each weapon has a map where it can be obtained from the wall (LSAT on Buried, BRM on Der Eisendrache) 2. They are extremely similar weapons overall with their damage, the primary difference is that the BRM has more ammo, while the LSAT has a better rate of fire. Overall, the BRM is more efficient than the LSAT, but the LSAT has an overall better DPS than the BRM. Other than that, their tendencies are mostly the same. My personal preference would probably be the LSAT, primarily because I’m big on DPS and I’m willing to sacrifice a few extra bullets if it means killing zombies a good bit faster. But objectively, these 2 weapons are 100% on the same level as each other.

Galil ain’t that good, I used it to camp on die rise and rpd was doing better ammo and damage. Obviously I mean when taking into account the rate of fire. Galil was my least powerful weapon. Rpd and AN-94 were doing better against zombies

RPD and Galil have the same rate of fire at 750 rpm. The Galil does more than double the headshot damage than the rpd as well. The only thing I can think of that may have given you issues is the fact that you’ll reload more frequently with the Galil than the RPD. Stat wise the RPD isn’t better at anything other than ammo and with the severe lack of damage you’ll end up getting less kills with the RPD than the Galil or AN-94 even with all that ammo. Not only that, I didn’t even get into mobility.

If the War Machine didn’t stun yourself I’d agree that they shouldn’t be miles apart (still would be a bit apart but not to the extent in the video), and same goes for the Bo1 China Lake. Even though the Mustangs are ranked high, I myself don’t care for them unless PHD is available and DT 2.0 is not. Had Double Tap 2.0 been allowed for the list, Mustangs would’ve been way lower because I think DT 2.0 removes almost all reason use Mustangs. But regardless of my bias against the Mustangs, I have to be objective in these lists, which is why I speak so highly of them despite not being the biggest fan.
