A good video Nathan, nice cod for ya tea. I am one of those Anglers on the Lincs coast that chases the tide out. A lot of anglers pack up after 2 or 3 hours after High water. The fish are still there to be caught, suprising how shallow they feed. Reduce the amount of tackle and follow the tide out, its worth it.

have you ever tried fishing old spark plugs or nuts and bolts instead of leads , I have used them many times over rough ground a lot cheaper if not free!

I've heard that before but tried it. My mate sometimes makes his own leads which makes them very cheap, but not as cheap as free!

Most if not all aquatic sea worms with the milky juices are down to their spawning cycle. If there from the south were it's still rather warm they'll be spawning at the moment.

Great session, I also learnt that lesson, if you wind in a fish don't try to do anything else, one day it could be the fish of a lifetime that you drop.

Hiya mate, can I ask without sounding disrespectful, are you a novice, biggest reason I ask is the way that you cast, also some times when you bait up, pure curiosity mate, because I've just come across you're chanel, after looking into some serious channels and you by far are the easiest to understand (bare in mind I'm from teesside😂) and compared with others very successful, I want to have a bash at the sea fishing game, been a course angler for many years, looking at other channels it all seemed a bit complicated rig wise I mean you make it look a lot easier some how, best wishes and tight lines mate.

Awesome videos Nathan! Question please: fished with multipliers on my beach/shore/rock setups my whole life spooled with mono (I am old enough for braid to have come along when I was already set in my ways) although I do use braid on my spinning/lure setups which I spool up with 135/150m of J-Braid or J-Braid Grand. Recently bought a Penn Battle II 8000 as my first venture into FS on one of my beach rods and am planning to spool with 79lb braid straight through - how much braid are you loading on yours? I would assume at least the 270m/300m spools but perhaps even more to allow for a few losses before having to respool? And any comments regarding braid on a muliplier (I use SLOSH 20/30/50's)?
@SlippyLimpets2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Lewis! I'm not sure about the total length but I filled my 8000 up to the point on the spool where the angle changes from flat to 45 degrees- I didn't want to over fill it to avoid wind knots. On the SLOSH, I put some mono backing on and wrap that in electricians tape to help stop the braid slipping, then I stick about 150-200 metres of braid on. I found the more braid I added the easier it was to birds nest. You do lose a bit of winding speed with a half filled spool but I'd rather that than risk having to unpick a birdie. Hope this helps and glad you like the vids!

@SlippyLimpets2 жыл бұрын
Ah that was you, no worries. Indecently I'm using a SLOSH 20 so you could stick more line on a 30 or 50. Just not too much
