My Italian mother use to make this, many years ago she called it Baccala I think it is a Calabrian dish, this is where she was from. It is such an easy recipe, your video is so good

Made this for lunch on Tuesday and it turned out perfect. We only made two (2) pieces of cod but made the entire sauce recipe. With the leftover Puttanesca sauce we will make the Eggs alla Puttanesca Recipe. Thanks and cin cin!

I’ve tried this recipe twice now and love it! I actually add 1 banana shallot in with the garlic and oil which then goes so well with the white wine. Then on the 2nd try I added cooked Orzo to the puttanesca sauce and the cod.

here frozen cod is quite cheap so I bought 2 cardboxes of cod, used some tomatoes from the local market, olives (no anshoa, we hate it) , and made a perfect dinner, affordable. Thanks from my husband. I wrote it in our weekly meal list and just have a new dish in. Next time I will serve it with polenta.
