Clear, professional and informative review ! I'm a total noob to bows and had no idea they were super technical - great stuff !

They really are! I didn't know the extent of it either until I started playing around with these and researching them.

I think the Escher sounds a little bit warmer and softer, good choice!

I think so too! It's very subtle but I can tell a difference. :)

I didn't know violin bows are that expensive. I'm not a violinist, I play other instruments. With the Escher the attack on the strings sounded better/direct and a 'warmer' sound, difficult to explain. I knew which one you would choose, saw it, and I know that feeling. Kept going back to that one and couldn't let it go :). Impressive that you noticed the weight difference. Great review! Edit: I'd never thought I would watch a review about bows. So great job! That's on you! hug!

Yep I agree! To me it had a slightly richer tone. And yea they are very expensive! Everything about violins is expensive haha
@vanessaebony5292 жыл бұрын
oh yes they are. Then there are antique bows so like older than 1900s they can cost over 10,000. Like if i was a professional concert violinist I could justify that cost but if I spent that much my fiance would kill me

Thanks for the review and tips. I'll probably go with a less expensive carbon fiber bow to start b/c I'm so new, but might consider these as skill level improves. Thanks Justine! 😊

I think it's pretty remarkable how you could feel the difference in two grams between the Escent and Escher. The level of control and balance that is required for this is mind boggling, but I am so happy that you do it well and shared with us. It's super cool to see you be excited about your music!

Ha! I thought that was pretty funny too when I weighed them after filming that. Thanks!

I just bought the Escher bow!

Thought I would get to hear these bows also used acoustically - without all the reverb & electronic fluff added! This tells me nothing of the scope of this bow - so, it must only be any good if the sound is doctored.

I thought the escher sounded nicer.

That's a very helpful comparison for anyone who is trying to decide between playing computer games versus the violin. For those of us looking to upgrade our violin bows without spending $5000 or more on a comparable pernambuco bow, this is a helpful review. Thanks, Justine.
