Love your videos. Wanted to comment on Dickey Bell. The left line you took is an Illegal Bypass. It gets barred off when there is workdays, and people rip the barricades down. I completely understand that coming to Uhwarrie and not knowing that. It needs to be marked better. At the bottom of the hill the left line is part of the challenge, but the upper section that is behind guardrail is not supposed to be used at all. Again, I totally understand that there was no way for you to know that. I'm just trying to spread awareness as the continued usage of that bypass could get the trail closed down at some point. We are always looking for better ways to block it off that people won't just destroy. Love your channel, keep doing what your doing, and I'll keep telling people about your channel 😀

Yes! Im not sure why everyone wants their "badge of honor" but nobody wants to actually do the hard section on the hard trail? I really wish we could find a permanent way to close off the bypass!

Glad you enjoyed your time here in the beautiful Tar Heel State. Sorry that the weather didn’t cooperate more. Uwharrie is about an hour from me. That place is BUSY on the weekends. Glad you got your badge on Dickie Bell!

Another great trip. Seems like the second part of our trips are the most fun. Dickey Bell was fun and Lora thought the trails were the best yet. Is that Bigfoot sneaking up on you guys at the 6:35 mark though the trees? Can’t wait for our next adventure. Thanks.

You ran more then Dickie Bell. I notice a bunch of other trails like Rocky Mtn Loop, Slab pile, etc.
@CoddiwompleOverland3 жыл бұрын
Yes you are right, we did run several of the trails. If we would have had a little more time we would have liked to run the rest. I guess that just means that we will have to go back.....
@VANTREKKINGlifestyle3 жыл бұрын
Betting this won’t be the trail we meet you guys on. 😂. That looked a little too technical for our Revel and Lynn’s foot would have come down 100 times. Glad you got to stop by Andy’s place. It’s one of those chicken and egg places… did Mt Airy make Mayberry or the other way around. Depending on who you talk to you’ll get different answers. Is Utah still the summer destination?
@CoddiwompleOverland3 жыл бұрын
Yea this one might be a little tough for the Revel... and Lynn LOL. Yes We are going to be in Utah and Colorado from August 10 through September 1.

Love the video and been watching you for a while. Keep the content coming! But, I do have to point out - you didn’t climb the Bell - you went up the bypass. The actual trail was to the right where you went up the hill.
@onestopoverland95633 жыл бұрын
The off camber left turn you have to make at the top would have been a bit too sketchy with the high center of gravity from the RTTs. So we decided to opt out of that line so we could be sure to make the long drive home. We all would have loved to try it if it wasn’t for the high risk of rolling the rigs.
@CoddiwompleOverland3 жыл бұрын
You are correct, we did not take the most difficult line. We chose to be a little cautious considering our high cents of gravity and we all had to drive these rigs several hundred miles back home. This is also why we typically don't do trails like this. Our trips are normally more about the journey rather than the challenge of the trail obstacles. It was just fun to do something along this trip as this whole trip was different than what we usually do. Thanks for watching.
@Th3Pnsh3r3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely nothing wrong with playing it safe and smart. I was merely pointing it out for the people that haven’t been there to know that there’s a much more difficult side of the trail. Also, the videos absolutely do not do the justice showing just how steep that section is. Even the bypass is pretty gnarly. And again - glad you didn’t take it the wrong way, and keep those awesome videos coming. I am a long time subscriber and always thoroughly enjoy all your videos. Stay safe & keep ‘em coming :) Regards - Al
