And it's one on the best writing decisions in anime history. I mean, they had all of this planned from the beginning. They made you think you knew one of the main leads of the entire show, then the flipped everything you knew about him on its head. And it *only* happened because he ran into a mind-reader, like if Suzaku never met Mao no one would ever know. It's such a delicious way to use a power like that.

Yeah the table-kun thing is explained in the show and hinted at multiple times. After Nina got saved by the princess she got infatuated with her. Growing more and more obsessed as the show goes on so she was 100% edging a table to her picture…… And also yes Mao’s geass is 100% gaslighting 😂😂😂

10:59 About the machine gun, they just explained it one second before ;) Mao hooked that up. Also, about how Mao's still alive: they gave 2 explanations, which I thought were more than enough. Yes, the medical technology of Britannia is awesome. Since this is a sci-fi with giant mechs and energy shields, I didn't really think that would suspend ones disbelief too much. You might say it's a deus ex machina that can bring people back from the dead, but Mao explains that he wasn't killed, because of an error Lelouch made. Lelouch told the cops to 'shoot' Mao, instead of telling them to kill him. So they just shot him, not paying attention to the lethality of their shots, shooting him in arms, legs etc. If you look back at that episode, you'll also notice a lot of shots missing.

Pendulum bomb could be a real thing, you just need a constant push and matching the pendulum to the movement of the push. It will takes a little bit of hand-work and engineering, but it could work. Lelouch is below average in terms of physical fitness. Even with Mao injured, if Lelouch tried to tip the scales with his hand, Mao would've beaten him to it and tipped it in the other direction first. Especially since Mao would know he was planning to tip the scales with his hand.

I’m tired of people complaining on why Lelouch didn’t hit the scale against Mao. But fans need to remember Mao isn’t that stupid, while he’s dumb HE QUITE LITERALLY KEEPS A GUN WITH HIM. Technically the subs are more accurate than the actual dub. Even if it's weird, it's still more accurate. Most dubs recontextualize the dialog to match the mouth movement of the animation.
