Personally I agree with your sentiments the only bad points in the plot of the entire series are as follows: The Special Administrated Zone massacre with Euphemia having to be killed to be stopped, Lelouch having to face his sister Nunnally when she's the whole reason he does what he does and the finale where Lelouch allows himself to be killed so the world can be peaceful.
