X.A.N.A has created a computer virus and sent it out on the Internet. All the city’s databases have been damaged. Although the problems this causes are quickly solved without major incident, the railway control centre has been hit very hard and can no longer stop two of its trains, which are on a collision course. Our heroes are faced with an urgent situation. They must counter X.A.N.A’s evil plan and stop this deadly collision from occurring. And to think that Sissi is going to go after Ulrich again and make our dream team’s mission even more difficult!

Shit, I know this is a year old, but I think the reason his voice changes is because it's likely that the show was aired in a different order than it was produced. It's surprisingly common in shows to do this, especially when the plot has a bit of wiggle room as far as the timeline. This is something that was really common in King of the Hill and caused a lot of inconsistencies. So if they tweaked or recast Jeremy's voice, then if would be much more apparent if it wasn't seen gradually or back-to-back. Hope that helps!

Shivanie Ally I completely agree, it's been shown that she behaves real nicely when the gang is nice to her but they always antagonize her even knowing this fact full well, because they've seen her good side multiple before returning to the past and Yumi even read her diary which clearly stated why she did what she did and how remorseful she was, I think she even told Ulrich all she wanted was to be treated better and after they did the RTTP he did and she didn't made fun of the group and she even stopped Herb and Nicholas from making fun of them but then I guess he forgot because he went back to making fun of her. rewatching this series now I've realized just how much things inside of lyoko just stand around doing absolutely nothing Later on they're way more active and chaotic not just shooting and moving when the plot requires them to 19:21 also situations where enemies like this tank for example straight up stop attacking for no reason happen way more early on It had the perfect chance to shoot but decided against it and if it had a cooldown or smt it wouldn't have opened up in the first place because that is it's weak spot

6:13 Once XANA escaped the supercomputer, in theory, he would have had the ability to do stuff like this way more often and without activating any towers. I think episode 56 is a good example of how the writers realized this, toyed with the idea by framing Jeremy as a terrorist, but then quickly gave up on it because they couldn't figure out how to make it work. I love the show as much as the next guy, but I think they had a lot of unused potential for season 3 and 4; or maybe they just couldn't make it work for a child show

essentially the Supercomputer can't revive anything/anyone that dies during a X.A.N.A. attack. Real world disasters (like katrina) probably happened on XANA's off days. On the other hand, things like people passing in their sleep would probably have been on account of an RTTP (in their world). If XANA had a dark sense of humor, he would find any time a natural disaster occurs to be his day off. Also, the disasters caused by XANA are always within range of the school, so the protagonists would be killed/permanently separated from the supercomputer if he succeeded.

@Blade Madlabs According to Lyoko Lore, it is impossible to launch an RTTP while there's an activated tower. There was the one exception which you will learn about later. One fan theory is that whatever is possessed by XANA during the RTTP remains permanently possessed. Logically though, the RTTP would keep the tower activated (which we see in that same later episode) and put the warriors too far away from the factory and Aelita. Say they were about to deactivate a tower but needed more time (because the plant was about to explode), they'd rewind time and BOOM, Aelita's cornered by a hoard of hornets and the gang's stuck in science class unable to get to the factory in time to save her.

The cutscenes have quite an evolution throughout the entirety of the season. Earlier, they used to be a pink, yellow, and purple background. Further along, the backgrounds are a variety of colors individually for the characters. If Sissi had one of her own, it'd be a pink coloring like Aelita's, but with a yellow logo like Ulrich's.

One thing I'd like to explain/say is something I've discovered by the show. Have you ever noticed how "stereotypical" this show may be? Like how the electrical disturbances are always chosen to be super dangerous? Like the electrical surge to the nuclear power plant, the bus crashing into a chemical storage unit, and now these trains? THIS MIGHT BE OBVIOUS TO OTHERS, but I realized that it's not stereotypical, because X.A.N.A wants Yumi and the gang dead, and anyone that might stop it from gaining control. That's also why all the attack launches And the reason why the gang talks about X.A.N.A so openly and don't necessarily worry about others hearing (like Ulrich talking about XANA openly on the bus over the phone) is because once they take down the towers in the virtual world, the day resets and I assume with that, everyone's memories reset as well

I know this was a show for kids, but goddamn they could've chosen more realistic times. There's no way it could've been 26 minutes, especially since Yumi failed to contact Odd and Ulrich for 15 minutes, which would've meant 11 minutes until impact!

Y'know when I watched this as a kid everything was amazing and Sissi getting humiliated was hilarious because she acts like such a prissy bitch. Though now as an adult I can't help but think that Sissi would probably be a *_lot_* nicer if they didn't start shit with her in the first place. I mean, she seems to just mostly annoy and flirt with Ulrich but then our favorite gang does something as cruel as this which leads to Sissi not pulling any punches and rinse and repeat. But then I remind myself that everyone in this show is 12-14 and we were all cruel little shits at that age. So the writers were pretty spot on with their dialogue and behavior.

Gus The wise one sorry as much as I’m a huge fan of Code Lyoko and will praise it for its concept the writing isn’t actually too great. Not including the dialogue and character development. The writing for whatever reason is flawed, the constant use of cliche endings, plot holes and other little bits that don’t add up the show lacks. Ulrich in one episode stated he liked fighting hornets the most, however he seems to beat crabs better, some vehicles fall but prove to have the ability to fly. And there are plenty of little bits around the show that don’t add up including processes to beat xana and the use of time travel and a lot more. Don’t get me wrong tho, amazing show, still the writing is good but doesn’t add up to most Hollywood movies. I dislike most Hollywood movies, but I gotta be honest and say that they are well known for following a pattern and being too cliche and suck, but are still well made and well written. On the last note, Code Lyoko isn’t anything special in writing, it follows the same pattern. Equilibrium, A sudden change in events, complications, fight against antagonist, (sometimes plot twist), defeat antagonist, equilibrium restored. Sorry, but this happens in most films and shows and this show isn’t an exception 🤷‍♂️

@@hypedalex7179 I get where you're coming from, it is a little repetitive and is mostly the same stuff but I like something this simple because it's quite easy to follow and understand and it's simple in like a child way considering its targeted at children which is fine for me because I really like the cartoons I watched as a kid because it's reminding me of a simpler time with fun jokes, most Hollywood movies are very complicated and I find hard to follow, they're overly confusing and full of all sorts of problems like "why do we even need to worry about that?" I just like keeping things simple and easy to understand. I mean I know I'm following the lore of five nights at Freddy's because it's interesting but it can be complicated too. Idk but going back to these cartoons is helping me realise a few things and helping me to avoid becoming overly depressed like I was last year, something having something simple and obvious is just refreshing.

As much as I adore code Lyoko and agree it’s simplistic pattern is nice to have. But I will say plenty of shows have that too. For me I think it’s the concept that makes it so special. It’s seriously something special and quite unique in its depth. As the core concept is not too unique, it’s clearly well thought out and made to be different in its own way. Code Lyoko was my childhood and I absolutely love the show to bits and hope to maybe make something of its kind some day
