that’s correct, instead of multiplying i by 4 in the first case , it is adding +4 in every step of loop in second case. which reduces strength of operation from * to + ;

In last case induction variable & strength reduction Before reduction while loop never ends because i always 1 i never modified But in replace with low strength code while loop will end at t = 12 y = 8 3rd time verification while loop will fail Both code is not same add first case y = i; i = i *4;
