For anyone thinking about picking up a vinyl copy of the album: "The Easy Way" is split between side A and side B. The first 2:08 is on side A, while the remaining 2:17 are on side B. While this is absolutely not ideal, it's split at the bridge, and if you're quick to flip the album you don't necessarily loose momentum in listening. I would have hoped that instead of doing this, some hero would have stepped up and suggested that the track list be rearranged for the vinyl, but alas. It's still a great album from a tremendous band.

8. EASY WAY Jami: “Easy Way is one of the more electronic-based songs on the record. It’s got this thumping electronic pulse, and it’s just a different flavour of melodic song that we did that doesn’t really sound like anything we’ve done before. I sing on it more than I’ve sung on anything else melodically. It’s a different colour on the record.” Reba: “A whole other world of techniques was experimented on with that song. It’s a great platform for the level of modern production that we wanted to showcase on this album, even though it’s overall a really heavy metal album.”

The crazy thing is I'm not a huge fan of hardcore music, industrial music, or metalcore and Code Orange is my favorite band at the moment. They are such an anomaly with the way they blend these genres together along with more like grunge and alt. pop. Their new album is my favorite of the year and is one of the few records that I would give a perfect score to. It's amazing and rare when a band can take their influences from many different genres and create something new out of it.

Hmm, this has some really cool influences and vibes to it. But that chrous, and afterwards you realise the whole song, is so so so built for a WWE entrance song. And with Code Orange having strong links to the WWE now it feels ever so slightly...corporate and almost manipulative? Not sure how to word it. It's a good song I really enjoy it but when you realise, or at least what I'm thinking, that they had WWE in mind when they wrote this it undermines the creativity of it a little bit. At least in comparison to a lot of the other stuff they've brought out and how apologetically free they can be of constraints. Not bashing Code Orange for it at all, like the song and the band. Just an interesting feeling I got as soon as I thought 'oh this could be for WWE'.
@InHerRoom4 жыл бұрын
Panjax stop overthinking. They just made a song with a accessible structure and a super catchy chorus. If it gets picked by WWE just proves that it is a great song.
