Code P1259 VTEC Fault Code (part 2)

I explore a little more into what's causing my issue and go over how I fixed it and what really causes these codes in most older Honda's. There will possibly be a part 3 later down the road. But for now I solved my issue and just have to keep up with oil consumption. As always I hope this helps some people, I tried to keep it short and to the point.

Hi , the code p1259 is issues for EGR valves and Vtec solenoids . So the CO2( oxyzen censor) is not problem for this code ? Thanks a lot for your video.

P1259 is VTEC solenoid issues P0401 is EGR problems

I have a 2000 Honda Accord, my check engine light came on after having a echeck. They said the solution could be the (VCT) Solenoid but the diagnostic code is (P1259). Should I check the VTEC System and see if that’s the problem? The car isn’t leaking any oil from the VTEC.

Check your oil level bro, mine ended up being a blown head gasket, it's was mixing my oil with coolant and burning it off making it run low on oil.

Can you make a video on how to swap H22 inside of a Honda Accord 1998 and all the things that you have to buy to swap it .

No but there are seals that's can go bad that can leak on the solenoids

Hey man I am having the same issue, I’ve replaced the vtec solenoid cause it ran code p1259. It’s still running in limp mode unless I take out the 02 sensor for some reason but it seems okish, do you happen to have any suggestions?

Does it still run with 02 sensor out in limp mode will it take off and go up to speed or still limp
