@@sinister-proxy-starpoint2049 Yeah, like having hard to impossible boss fights can get very fun and extremely rewarding, but I'm not really finding it in this game especially late game or whatever point this is. Furthermore I'm barely defeating some of this difficult bosses after a countless number of tries, and it doesn't even feel good to beat them. In my eyes bosses should not cheese you automatically, or completely change up thier move set because screw the player. Like it should almost be like chess on steroids or something.

Just as note, now that I'm thinking of it, by "move set changing" I do not mean the phases the bosses go through at health falls. What I mean by this, idk if anyone else had this happen, but in some bosses like Mido, Silva, and The Queen these bosses literally used later phase attacks when they were still in phase 1. For example, one try when I had died and ran back in to fight Mido, his very first attack (at 100% health) was the four orb attack, and a after blood image swing. Granted I died quite a lot before this happened, so idk if it was the game bugging out as I respawned and rushed right back in. But yeah just as a clarification to what I said.

Fun Fact: I’ve been able to actually hit the big red blood orb that slowly trails you. It will go the other way and pop I believe, but it can be super annoying to land a melee attack as it has to be VERY close to you. Still though, the more you learn. 👍

@@trontosaurusrex9532 I've had Eva glitch into a wall unable to move whatsoever. Then I've encountered times where she would stand there and not heal my character as they fade away. One last instance which i dont really blame on Eva, she used her restoration gift to heal me as I faded away (there was even her cooldown timer visible), but the game conveniently decided i didn't deserve to live there and disregarded her healing completely. My companion's behavior have only made an irritating boss all the more tedious.

Andy Low i died 20 times but had a easier time with him then the two bosses you fight at once before him I went with a power build with both weapons fully upgraded a machete and great sword and a armor which increase my attack and defense plus using the queen slayer code which is your main characters actual code it’s the most balanced out of all of them plus used all special attacks and a spell which slowly recovers you which comes with the queen slayer code

After cannoneer and blade bearer I thought this was gonna up the difficulty and be super ridiculous. Instead I stood in the corner casting spells and laughing while Yakumo flung him around like a ragdoll and it was anticlimactic but in a really satisfying way.

I kept calling him "Inhibiting Bitch" due to the amount of times I almost had him but he downed me and prevented my partner from resurrecting me. The first time I actually had to equip status effect curing medicine in this game.

Just to say, if someone has not already, with the encircling orb explosion attack there is a window you get to dodge both of them. It is easy, but you know in the heat of battle with Captain Cheese-ga-lore here it isn't. But if you watch the orbs when they go to explode they come together, form a stationary slightly bigger orb, glows a very dim white and red, then explods. If you dodge and get away from it the stationary orb you can medicate that damage. But sometimes you do get hit if you're not fast enough, because random hit boxes. Although it may be contradictory to this guide's safe spot, and mind you I have not beaten him currently, if he uses said orb exploding attack I find it easier to retreat to a distance, dodge the two exploding orbs, then jump back into the fray.

thx for the guide, helped me to beat this boss, I used cleansing light and the venom buffs that were available to me. and the hasten buff so I could dodge better. but still took me at least 20 tries.

It's even better when a full blue moon and an eclipse is happening when the companions actually dodge almost all the boss's attacks and when the boss is about to die and you go down, and they just stop moving and do nothing to help you. Then you have to restart from the very beginning, and they say something akin to "We almost had it that time".

I honestly wish the AI was more useful in the game. Cause Yakamo only revived me maybe twice before we both became cannon fodder for the boss! And I'm at level 184(as of this reply) And I'm using the Queenslayer blood code with the huge hammer and zweihander.

I notice a lot of people in the comments saying 'You suck if you find it hard' also make references and allusions to having a co-op partner. On solo, the later few bosses in this game are fucking ridiculous. I thought after taking down the Cannoneer and Blade Barron this would be a nice break, but the fact he can do around 1900 damage PER FUCKING HIT is just absurd Lost count of how many times he's had 1/4 HP, I've had all my heals, but one stray hit has killed me. I get it, I could just stop being stubborn and turn on my AI companion.... But I did the Cannoneer and Blade Barron solo, so feels weird to turn it off now. I think CV could do with slightly nerfing the damage output a bit on Mido if it realises you're playing solo. Sort of the way DS buffs bosses for co-op, but in reverse. (Before anyone asks, no, CV does not buff bosses for co-op, as the game was designed for co-op primarily)

i think while canooneer and BB are extremely hard but fair, mido is just fucking ridiculous. the hitboxes are shit and it overuses its two swings, then there is the four mist balls. only poison/vemon and inhibit buff came in hand

@@murtazarizvi368 You want to know something hilarious? Whenn I finally beat him after all that bullshit, I only used 1 heal. It's as you said, the bullshit damage output per swing was the problem. You can be fine and then BAM, one hit and you're out. That's not good challenging game design, it's obnoxious. Here's the vid of me doing it though, for reference. @@murtazarizvi368 It also doesn't help that Mido's actions are quick, while my actions are slow. Plus no matter how much I level grind or upgrade/swap my gear, it doesn't make a difference! Had I known this game was like Dark Souls, I never would have bought it in the first place!

did this with a quick 1h build using iceborn, just spam dodges when hes on u and hit him when he's casting, slow but is pretty ez to execute. Queenslayer code.

I tried Demeter with great swords and strength upgrades. They had the best damage stats... but couldn't beat Mido. Then I went to Queenslayer Great Swords... rarely got to 40%. Queenslayer with Argent Wolf Poleaxe suddenly clicked. Not sure why, but it worked... two tries and done.

ThomB1031 Queen slayer is the best I only used that since I got it I meant the blood code not the sword I went with the machete instead has the highest damage out of all the single handed swords

You can dodge the 4 black orbs fairly easy you just have to watch them closely and the second they turn slightly red you gotta dodge twice to avoid them

Just beat him after like probably 10+ tries. This boss fight and the previous one leading up to it were the most annoying boss fights since the very first one for me. I was so irritated and anxious to beat him that i forgot to use the strategy though. Ended up getting lucky and just beating him with pure strength with my Obliterator Axe +9, with the Berserker Blood Code. I was using Flame Weapon and Iron Will to help with damage and protection

Don’t get me wrong It was difficult but after i beat cannoneer and blade bearer, mido looked cute to me Tip : you know that move where the ball explodes in around 4-5 sec~? Get shadow dash that gift you get early on and it should become pretty easy to dodge in general specially if your mobility is so gawd damm slow like mine

Tried to solo him, 1st phase was just an easy ride but mygod that 2nd face aggression is like nothing I've seen before, imo it's more obnoxious than BF Friede from DS3 in terms of surpassing the corresponding game's fighting pace. So I just I picked Yakumo and treated this fight as a dps test, the offensive abilities and moves absolutely melt this dude (I used Chariot Rush, Adrenaline, and Flashing Fang, all partnered with Eternal Blade Dance and Halberd Mastery), in addition to Yakumo's fighting style, just keep some of those ichor replenishers with you, whether it be the standard ones or the special ones, doesn't matter which kind. Though this game has probably the best cutscenes and storytelling I have seen in an rpg so far, when it comes to enemies and especially bosses it tends to slack off. Edit: Well ummm, when I said "bosses" I meant the bossfights, in terms of aesthetic and visual design, their not the best but still holy shit mmmmMMMMMMMmmmmmmm

It would help a bit more if you did it solo since it's harder and if you maybe use a different weapon since not all can block like greatsword. Luckily I somehow beat it while watching with safety (the fight took longer by hitting once only).

Idk if you're still having trouble, but the way I beat him is trying to use a quick weapon, like the Queenslayer Blade, and use every open opportunity to hit him, but mainly focus on dodging and not taking damage. I also use Jack becuase for me, all Jack does is stun attacks and that sometimes allows me to have more open attack windows. I also mainly use Ichor on defense buffs a shit ton with the Blood Guard, Steady Bulwark, Foulblood Barrier, and Cleansing Light. Obviously depending on your blood code and ichor capacity you can't activate all these at once. But I start with SB and FbB, then when he pulls out the Blood magic I start using the BG and CL. Then if i get the status effect of Inhibit I try and only focus on dodging just so I can lose the effect and use the ichor I have to buff. So in short I find the best strategy in beating Cheese-lord Mido is to play the long defensive game.

If you get chances to use the "Anti-inhibit" meds when your inhibited use them, but don't rely on them as often when I try and use them Mido forgets about my companion and will not leave me alone for a majority of the battle.
