When they said that bayonet does big damage, I never thought that it would do that much damage.

DLC gift made sure Bayonet were not left out of the OS gang. I did a ranger build with max cast speed on gift and atk buff on Mia's barrage shot gift, it was insane but don't forget to consume an accelerator as items and gift buff do stack! dmg was good and the gift downside of locking you in animation is 3 times less of an issue.

i think on max ng+ you cannot one shot the final boss anymore sadly, ive tried, he has like 160k hp or something

yes, unfortunately all the bosses become damage sponges on +x difficulty. even despot has >100k HP. this was made on base NG only.

Sometimes I think I'm the only one that actually believes one-shotting everything could maybe (but only maybe of course) lead to some ultimate lack of fun and overall given meaning in any way for even, well dunno.. uhh.. playing the game at all in the first place? XD Since the bosses (besides the char-editor maybe) are the only real outstanding part of the game gameplay-wise - and what you're essentially just saying is "well sad they didn't even give me a chance nullifying even that last fun bit of the gameplay on NG+".

⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@@silvercrystal3umm.. necro thread.. but i meant “unfortunately” in the context of trying to one shot bosses, which was kind of the point of this vid…? considering how easy it is to set up a one shot, espeically on NG, i understand your point. but most players like myself are running through normally and not even thinking about this up until DLC challenges. the game has its flaws, i had fun with it regardless. edit: also, some people may have more fun one shotting vs dancing w bosses @ lv1, and vice versa, so it depends on your preference. for me, both are enjoyable, one just takes more effort & time.

i just wish this game offered much more in a gameplay than "go to the area, collect vestiges, kill the boss rinse repeat" I always wish i could save Oliver Collins, revisit the old Revenant camp (the one we're getting taken as slaves) visit the human bunker or provisional government headquarters or if we didnt find the source a bit too soon and actually had to hunt for bloodbeads or distribute them to other revenants. Or at least i was hoping for that Revenant guy with pink hair (the one who tried to take girl for herself) to somehow repay us for giving him the bag of bloodbeads later on. this game is so great and it pains me to see so many missed opportunities...

I mean in not even done with my first play threw the fking executioner boss gave me so much trouble I did the bosses out of order by the way was the second boss I did I got so mad I over leveled got the best weapon I got and 4 shot her.

you can use the standard queenslayer setup used here, not sure if buff order is relevant but you can use this for reference: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn7Fk5aOpMmkrK8 just swap bayonet mastery for 2h, the radiant barrel gift for one that works with a 2handed sword, and ranged impact for overdrive. don’t forget jack’s gift too, just swap the lowest tier gift for it. you should be able to complete the challenges for all three like this edit: the passives should be 2h mastery, swift destruction, str/dex up (for flashing fang iirc) and survival instinct if you stack everything correctly you should hit HFK for about ~90k. good luck!

sorry i couldn’t give it to you right then but iirc, it’s queenslayer code, libertador fortification, and any veil with decent light gift scaling. for gifts, you want final journey, flashing fang, blow of madness, merciless reaper, ranged impact, overdrive/adrenaline, and jack’s communal gift. the bayonet shot, radiant barrel, is from orion blood code (LoT DLC). passives: swift destruction, bayonet mastery, survival instinct, str/dex up.

With gilded hunter I got extremely lucky and killed him on my first try. Of course yakumo did most of the heavy lifting. And reviving. I am still having a hell of a time with ornstein and smough titty edition though.

the light gifts/buffs u can get from bloodcodes scattered through base game, but the skills (steadfast strike for 2h swords, and radiant barrel for bayonets) are from DLC challenges. there are a few alternatives u can use before acquiring those, like dragon lunge and fusilade rondo.
