@Xeper I guess it depends how you look at it. An addiction is a disease that changes the reward pathways in your brain to make you think you need that drug/alcohol to survive. It’s like fighting an urge you can never satisfy. While addicts make the first “bad choice” to begin using, the addiction that follows is something no one chooses. Keep in mind not everyone that uses becomes addicted but others are more susceptible to it based on genetics, environment, learned behaviour, underlying mental health issues etc. while I’m not justifying some of the awful choices that follow someone becoming addicted if they don’t have a choice does that make them a bad person? Does that mean they have no values or morals? Would you also say that someone who developed lung cancer from smoking was a bad person? Making people that struggle with addiction feel like they are bad people contributes to the cycle of using. Bad choices yes, bad people no because if we brand ourselves “bad people” what motivation does that give to someone to recover?

This brings back some painful memories my husband passed at 38. My son an Eagle Scout just kept making bad decisions and ended up in the system for 15 years. Today he is a Master Electrician teaching first year apprentice at Tech college. I never gave up on him, hearing officers kind positive conversation with Nole was awesome. It’s taken the wrong way with defund law einforcment. Not all police can handle this kind of interaction with troubled persons. I think most police persons would welcome the help.
@JohnFKennedy4202 жыл бұрын
How is defunding going to help? I’m really confused where you were going with this whole comment. Wouldn’t those memories be less painful now that your son is a master electrician? Then you shift to defunding the police and how that’s misunderstood? “Not all police can handle this kind of interaction” “most police persons would welcome the help”. What help are you talking about? They go through extensive training and and it’s constant. There are always new policies coming out for how to handle people with mental disorders, addicts, domestic violence cases, etc. there will always be corrupt cops out there, just like there will always be corrupt doctors and teachers and judges and every other occupation. That isn’t the NORM. The media makes it seem like bad cops are everywhere and plentiful. That just isn’t true. Statistically and logically. More training doesn’t hurt, but defunding the police is going to hurt their effectiveness, not help.

I've got mixed emotions when it comes to Noah. On the 1 hand, nobody else on KZbin is more entertaining to watch deal/interact with police and hate to seem him leave the genre. On the other hand, I hate to see someone so young rack up countless charges and totally wreck their future. Hopefully Noah will keep his KZbin portfolio at a trilogy.

I agree. Lets not forget that Noah also got called on alleged domestic violence by his girlfriend (which im hoping isnt the girl in this video because her and their kids deserve better), in which he grabbed his child and would not let him go whilst cursing at the officers? I know that everyone makes bad decisions (especially when under the influence) but these things will live with their kids forever. I hope he gets better too (mostly for the sake of the kids & other civilians who may be affected by his actions) but I think alot of things he said in the other videos he's in, and also how he still tried to evade cops this time shows how he is as a person.

What about not getting in trouble in the first place? Why as a society are we praising idiots that turn themselves In peacefully when there are millions that’s are doing the right thing each and every day and not getting in trouble? The jails would have been full if I were a police officer. The mom would have been right beside him in booking for aiding.
@retroguy94942 жыл бұрын
@@tonyhouk9047 Well, in Noah's case, he's not really a bad kid. He has a problem with alcohol and perhaps drugs. When he's on them, it makes him act all wild. If he can stay off them, he will be just fine.
@tonyhouk90472 жыл бұрын
@@retroguy9494 I’m not going to ask how you can say he’s not a bad kid since you already did. Having three warrants out for your apprehension and evading the police doesn’t in any way make you a good kid. Since he is a father he’s screwing up our society by setting the example for his kids. That’s why we’re heading the way we are is because of people glossing over things when they are against the law.
@tonyhouk90472 жыл бұрын
@@JakeGV11 firepilot17 just praised him by giving him props. The mom aided the kid by saying he left to the police officer. I would have taken him out of the front to let him be embarrassed of his wrong doings. The officers gave him a slide by their actions. He will in the future expect the same when he breaks the law again in the future. I’d put money on it.
@retroguy94942 жыл бұрын
@@tonyhouk9047 Just as I won't ask you if you think he's an idiot. But let's look at the situation logically. He doesn't murder, rape, steal, commit grand theft auto, rob people's houses, mug old ladies, etc. He has a substance abuse issue and when he's under the influence, it makes him do stupid things like drive a car fast without a license. That hardly makes him public enemy number one. Even the cops said he's a nice kid when he's sober. And at least he is THERE for his kids and he loves them. Which is more than I can say for a LOT of fathers. The warrants were for running from the cops (that road chase) not showing up for court (that's why they were originally after him) and driving without a license. I wish I had a dollar for every kid that tried to outrun the cops in his car! Poor Noah just made some bad decisions. Incidentally, the reason we are like we are today is due to MY generation running the country and everything we stand for; greed, self centeredness, lack of empathy for others, apathy, lack of religion/God in the family and this deep hatred of other people's actions without forgiveness.

@@awarepenguin3376 The results speak for themselves. That family has a specific impression of the police now, which is positive. The community does too. Even the young man does. He's a dumb kid who made a dumb mistake, and he should pay for it. But he was handled with firmness and humanity. It's the "Ethel, that boy needs a kick in the pants!
