Thanks for the video! Likewise, I was a little hesitant on Wingspan during its initial release, but I was (finally) able to play it last September and enjoyed it thoroughly to put it on my wishlist. Then got really excited when Wyrmspan was announced, as an avid on-and-off fan of dragons. Long story short, I've purchased Wingspan at my FLGS last week, and will likely preorder Wyrmspan through Stonemaier Games. :)

I just got my preview copy today so I'm looking forward to checking it out, and having watched a lot of the preview videos, it looks and feels very familiar to Wingspan, just a little meatier. I'm excited to get it to the table. I have people coming over tomorrow! - Dusty

I think someone asked about the new civs in the Tapestry digital, and I think Jamey said during the live feed that the developer for Tapestry digital has had the revised civs for a bit and hopefully the new ones will be on the digital. My first thought on the Champions newsletter for Wyrmspan was Dragons + Stonemaier = instant buy. Then when I saw it was a take on Wingpsan I cooled a bit, but only because I only play SM games solo (I don’t have a game group, just my wife and I) and I’m not a huge fan of the Automa for Wingspan. As more has been revealed about the game and the differences I really am very intrigued at the differences. I can’t wait for the Automa reveal and hope it is drastically different than just taking and piling up cards like Wingspan. The last few Automas have been really good but I’m not sure what else they can do with a tableau builder game.

@@TheMillShow The more I saw through the design diaries, behind the scenes videos, and content the more I can’t wait to get y hands on it. The Automa looks so much better and meatier than Wingspan IMO. It will be a day 1 purchase. SM games is the top company I have given myself a pass on my not buying new games until I’ve cleared a lot from my shelf of opportunity. And I’m spending fantasy football winnings on it so I get a pass on it…lol

I am blown away by the slight bit of pushback I've seen around BGG and Facebook on Wyrmspan being nothing but a copy/paste cash grab. I've loved Apiary and Expeditions, but for some reason I've been more excited for Wyrmspan. I think it's the hatchlings, the guilds, and simply the gorgeous dragon art. I'm also intrigued by not only the lack of dice, but with how it seems resource production is more baked into other aspects of the game rather than being it's own single action. I think that might make the game flow a little better than Wingspan.

Not to sound negative but I miss when you would be able to dive into more speculation especially when the teasers get released. I’m sure there isn’t as much to speculate now that you have more advance knowledge through proof reading and such. But the anticipation of Stonemaier releases is sometimes the most fun, even for games I don’t end up buying. I am wondering if we will see the next inklings of the Andrew Bosley series that was teased/leaked last year. Im guessing the first is code name Cape but that’s just a shot in the dark

I appreciate you saying so and posting such a kind comment. I was starting to get push back for what seemed to be non-genuine. How could I give you the three different things that I heard and not acknowledge the truth without basically "lying"? I enjoyed sharing the different theories I had heard too. I also completely understand the fun of getting excited about Stonemaier releases, even if it isn't for me, because typically the people it IS for are really excited and that's contagious. I really enjoy sharing that with people because even if I'm not a huge fan of the game, I'm a fan of the people that made it. I personally think the first Andrew Bosley series game is literally Code Name Bone. The universe is called Smoking Bones, so I figured that was probably a gimmie. Cape has been on the charts for a long time. Originally I thought it was probably a superhero game, but I didn't think I'd be interested unless it was the Marvel or DC IP, because I thought maybe just random "stretchy man" or "zappy girl" wouldn't be as interesting. I don't know.. yours is a good guess too.
