Thanks! It's better to be lucky than good sometimes. Timing with me going to Origins and leaving one day before/after others opened a window of opportunity. Normally me being the little guy (1 person part time) can't, and won't attempt to do this often.

I could see this going over well w/ our friends. The thinking for the words can be a bit tricky, but the pictures open up a whole new set of possibilities and they aren't as off the wall as I thought they might be. I could definitely see owning both.

I still waiting the original game to be translated to my language cause not all in my group are very good with the language. But this one gives us the opportunity to try this game nevertheless. If the original is still not translated when this hits the stores i will definitely get it.

This girl on a plane told me she used dixit cards shortly after the original game came out. It's pretty fun and seems like the same thing with better pics and probably more inside joke type clues from previous dixit games

Yes that's been a fun variant. Although this is enough to have the cards be somewhat creative but not overwhelmingly crazy to keep the AP down. Another possible way is to put board game boxes on the floor and use those as the cards.

in your opinion, why do you think the game designer (s) chose to make the grid smaller?

Not sure but the cards are bigger so you can see the pictures more detailed and that might be why.

Thanks for the review! Do you know how many picture cards the full game will have? If not, how many picture cards did your version of the game come with, and are they double sided like in the original Codenames?

I don't know for sure, but I would assume they would be double sided in the final version and would at least have as many unique plays as the original Codenames. But ok f Of course it had almost unlimited replay with the amount of combinations of cards

I'll probably get this because Codenames has been such a hit with so many people I've played with, but this just seems like the same game for people that are...less clever.
