@@FansFAX to me Forever feels like it's going to be the bridge between I Am King and Underneath when it comes out in March. I Am King felt like a slightly more experimental Converge with wilder song structures and a bit more of an unsettling atmosphere (which makes sense considering they were signed to Deathwishinc when they released that album). Forever comparatively felt like they honed their sound as the performances felt just as heavy but it felt more like controlled chaos compared to I Am King. Plus there was some pretty heavy experimentation with electronics on songs like The Mud and Kill The Creator. On top of that songs like Bleeding in the Blur showcased their attempts at making a very catchy melodic song (and imo it's one of my favs of Forever). Now with this song it feels like Code Orange is really embracing the idea of being a mix between a metalcore and an Industrial metal band. It's a mix I never thought i needed until now lol

I can dig stuff from Prodigy to Cypress Hill... but this just doesn't hook me... all I can think during the soft part is "when does the heaviness begin?" Anyway... I'll surely check the whole album when it drops, but even if it doesn't hooks me... It has been a great journey, from early the EPs to Forever, loved every second of it! :)

Everyone and their uncle's been talking about "Code Orange" this and "Code Orange" that, so I just had to check them out. I'm here after listening to "Swallowing the Rabbit Whole" which was all sorts of filthy riffs and incredible sonic landscape. They laid a foundation of sound for themselves which garnered a fanbase and yes they should evolve but they bought into a much more generic sound. I've heard this music before, not from them, but what I heard from code orange from before it was unique for punk hardcore especially being dope and having a female front. It's sad to see creativity fall by the wayside.

Just saying, a bands level of being good doesn’t have to be based on their heaviness. Yeah this isn’t exactly the heaviest these guys can do, but the song is fantastic and the progression of their sound is apparent on this one. And I love it.
