Based on several interactions I've had or heard about with her I'd say she's exactly how you think. Even though Reba (deservedly) gets the most attention of anyone in her band she constantly builds the guys up and tries to shift credit to them. And while having the mouth of a trucker she's quite cerebral too: good chess player and went to college for orchestral flute.

The wave of 'brief' relief when the guy finally figures out how to back up his truck , then the cruel wave of disappointment and disdain when they say 'um, yeah...I'm not done'.

this rules. sick signature guitar, very pragmatic choices to deliver her and the band's vision. pedal setup reminds me of Agata from Melt Banana (minus the delays). as for the beeping, clearly a lot of folks here haven't worked around a scissor lift before...
@alexcorona2 жыл бұрын
I LOVE how she dissed all the KZbin guitarist “influencers “….. it’s sad when they’re getting the signature models instead of the actual gigging musicians who need them. (Save for Fluff, he breaks the mold).
@Locoandchooch2 жыл бұрын
Yes. IMO give guitars and amps to actual musicians that are starving. Not a KZbin guitarist that’s making money. As an opening band, they aren’t making much if any money at all.
@ALK-le6pv2 жыл бұрын
That's the only 'controversial' or opinionated thing I've ever seen or heard Reba say too--normally she's extremely polite to everyone. And this isn't the first time she's said it either. Just goes to show you how much she despises influencers. And why wouldn't she? Her band's been on the road playing shows since they were teens--sometimes playing in garages and sleeping in basements. Meanwhile KZbinrs can get comfortably famous because of their looks or a gimmick or cover songs.

It’s a shit thing to say. Just because someone sits in their bedroom all day playing guitar, they reach millions more people than she can touring when they upload videos to KZbin. It doesn’t mean they work at it any less than her either.

10:19 - 10:25 + 11:00 - 11:06 Obviously it's a matter of taste and I may have misunderstood something but on a 24.75" scale guitar for drop B (and drop Bb) the .54 low E string is not very stable from intonation point of view.
@skupiony.na.bombie11 күн бұрын
exactly what I was thinking. I recently put Not Even Slinkies (12-56) to a 25,5 inch scale guitar and it was kinda loose for drop B. Now I have 12-60 (D'Addario EXL148) on, and it is much better, but not ideal, so I am wondering how they manage to keep guitars in tune with the lighter gauges on even shorter scale.
@80s_kid11 күн бұрын
@@skupiony.na.bombie I've tried different sizes over the years and considering that I'm not one of the heaviest right-handed player, I ended up choosing .57/ .58 for drop B on 25.5" scale length, which is still a bit thin but my personal experience is that after a certain thickness, the behavior of the strings starts to change, they don't behave exactly like their thinner counterparts and I didn't really like this change, so I keep the E6 string under .60. My lowest tuning right now is drop #A (25.5"), which is still works with .59, if I don't beat the crap out of the E6 string. :) Of course, if you play on 7-string that is not baritone scale and tune it to drop A or even lower, it is inevitable that you will go above .60. This whole thing is a matter of preference, many people use thick strings and they like it.
@skupiony.na.bombie11 күн бұрын
@@80s_kid oh yeah, my 25,5 inch Ibanez Iceman 7-string is now 10-52 + .70 for drop A. This is a very cool guitar, but the scale should be a bit longer.. I tried .64 and also .68, but only after putting .70 on, I felt like the tuning stability is much better, and to be honest I kinda like the feeling of that thick ass string on the bottom.

Two.. carry on/ weight.. my rockerverb head alone is 50 pounds, a lot of people especially touring musicians don’t wanna lug all that weight so ya I I can totally see why anyone would want to try to dial in a tube sound.. makes sense..

I gotta say, I really dug this rig rundown until Chris started comparing the Tubescreamer to the Swollen Pickle. They don't even remotely do the same thing. One tightens up the amp, the other straps a chainsaw to its chest and runs screaming towards you, if you set it up right (in the case of how END uses the Pickle)...
@chris_kies2 жыл бұрын
I didn't compare the pedals ... one is an overdrive and the other is a fuzz - I was just asking if she had ever tried another pedal+amp combo that other heavy bands use like the End or she's always stuck with the OD (TS9)-into-amp formula. Hope that clears up my perspective when asking the question. Thanks for watching!

Cool guitars, cool board, cool rig and cool player, but 12-54 are neither "thick ass strings" nor "barb wire", IMO. Tuning to drop C on a 24,75" guitar, thinner strings easily go out of pitch on the attack, especially if you're like me and have a heavy right hand. I use 11-56.
