@BombyxEdition it is not clear whether, when a player reaches or exceeds 20 points, the other players complete the current round AND play an additional turn: it means that a further complete game round is played for everyone, including the player who had reached 20 points?

There is one confusing thing with the points. It’s hard to describe but the gold cards with either the feather, the jar or the scroll. Do they only achieve points when they are played or at the end of the game as well?

When they are played, the bonus is activated. Later during the game, the feather, the jar, or the scroll on them could be counted again with another played bonus card. They could also be counted for the "personal bonus".
