Gbb (Grand Beatbox Battle) is basically a global event of the best beatboxers competing from around the world that happen yearly, last year got canceled because of covid and 2019 dlow won and 2018 codfish won vs dlow in final. Codfish and Dlow are arguably one of the 2 bests in the game with a few others like alexhino, napom, alem, b-art, reeps one, show-go and zekka just to name a few. This year there will be another gbb 2021 event in poland and Dlow will be a judge. Go and look at the gbb 2021 wildcard winners for this year. Thats 1 video announcement. Those 7 wildcard winners qualified with last years wildcard winners (because it was canceled) and this year will be one of the biggest events

There is a lot of unique styles in beat box, some more musical and some more towards the technical side with a lot of percussion and different sounds. Each big beat boxer has a fairly unique sound or style. codfish is a lot more musical normally but he does have crazy bass, his 2018 compilation isn't as bass heavy and showcases more of his musicality.

Also I think his specialty is his throat bass which sounds like a raspy voice to a normal person, but his throat bass is considered the cleanest throat bass by many beatboxers, and I think because of the cleanliness of his throat bass it just sounds raspy when he signs in higher notes

Have you herd Adam Rupp's solo? He will blow you away, He does a 7 minute drum solo that you actually see him playing an invisible drum set with his hands, and all sound from him is in perfect time with his hands. He is in the acapella group (which he founded with his brother Chris) ......... Home Free. The group will blow your mind.

yes every beatboxer has a special sound that they are known of,they either mastered it or sometimes invented it. Codfish is known for his musicality and his special sound is his throat bass thats why its so clean other examples are Napom's special sound is Liproll (suggestion to react: YOU CANT ROLL LIKE THIS by napom) or Vocodah formerly known as Audical his special sound is inward bass(react to his wildcard HEADBANGERS).. ps. sorry for my english:)

Codfish is very popularly known to have one of the cleanest throat basses in professional Beatboxing. He’s more musical than he is technical, but he can do very technical stuff, if you watch his battle against Bataco in 2018 you’ll see. But his style is more on the musicality side of things.

Yeah as you said like in rap battles, beatboxers have specialities. For example, the second battle versus Tomazacre, they both are specialized for bass and low voices, and singing. All beatboxers are good in every aspect but bass is their favorite and the cleanest. There is a beatboxer called Colaps, he is also very good, one of the best imo. His speciality is the clicking sounds and variations, and a lot of technique. D low is good t everything but there is nothing he is the very best at. Maybe the variation of weird sounds and his stage peresence, that made him the best in 2019

D low does Inward bass where as Codfish does Throat bass which in my opinion is way harder to master then inward and a lot more harmful to ur vocal cords like i can do inward but i can barley hold a throat bass for 3 sec and he does it non stop so yeah
