Adding Bellinger would add versatility to the roster. Not every batter needs to have an exit velo of 105. A contact / spray hitter would be great in this line up. A guy that can keep the carousel moving. He also adds versatility on the defensive side, with his ability to play OF & 1B.
@PinstripeTerritoryАй бұрын
Bellinger would be a perfect fit.
@KingNothing710Ай бұрын
I always like how Cody defended the Yankees and Judge after the Astros cheating scandal so I’d go for him. Seems like he could be a player like Rizzo but younger and with the chance for some upside. Sounds like a good fit it if the Yankees get Soto back or not as well.
@kellyldavis100Ай бұрын
BELLINGER= protection for Judge in the lineup, whether we re-sign Soto or not.
@福田明生-j8uАй бұрын

@deetee1151Ай бұрын
It was said plainly..."He's a good baseball player" and that's what the Yankees need. I would roll the dice and sign him. Rightfield wall looks very nice with him in the batting line up.
@tonyjones4610Ай бұрын
IMO Bellinger 29 years old is the best option out of some not great options. He can play 1st and back up outfield. Players like that add flexibility for the bench. Walker 33 years old would probably require 3 years Arenado is 34 and has 3 years left. So take the younger player with the shorter contract I think Yankee stadium would improve Bellinger’s offensive output.
@christianjc8973Ай бұрын
Put him in front of Judge and he will hit closer to 280, over 20 home runs and close to 90 RBI. If the Yankees can get him do it. Put him at first and let Dominguez play center. Boom lineup upgrades immediately.

@maestromecanico597Ай бұрын
NYY needs a veteran presence in the IF. Bellinger could fill that role. His (LH) bat, defense and adult presence make him a better than average fit. When Hicks (FINALLY) comes off the payroll (except for $1M) at the end of this season that gives the front office that much more money to play with.
@Alvzzz12Ай бұрын
What’s crazy is we never sign these guys when they’re free agents, for just money. Then we wanna trade away prospects a year after cashman passed
@lybreixАй бұрын
I would love a trade for Bellinger. A contract for contract swap could make sense for both sides, especially with the different holes the Cubs and Yankees need to fill. I'm thinking a Stroman for Bellinger trade could be a good starting point, maybe throw in a couple of extra pieces on either end to make the money/talent work out. Another option (if the Yankees miss out on Soto) would be to try and get Hoerner as well, maybe a Trevino/Cortes/Stroman/Peraza for Bellinger/Hoerner? That gives the Cubs 2 legit SPs and a decent starting/platoon catcher and allows them to cut costs and maybe sign another decent bat/arm to bolster the roster. The Yankees would be filling two positions of need without significantly increasing the payroll, since you would be trading Stroman's 18MM for Bellinger's 27MM. Yankees could then get a cheap 1B/OF off the FA market and maybe a Tier 2 SP, like a Buehler, to replace Cortes/Stroman.

I think we should sign Bregman and Soto, and if they can get Belly that’s icing on the cake. You can say whatever you want about Bregman but he’s ball player that brings it everyday.

Bellinger and a Cub's top 25 prospect for Stroman's contract and trade Trevino. You can move Rice to Catching, and have him be back up 1st baseman. Im not familiar with the trade values but we dont need Stro and Trevino's contract is up next year

Life-long Cubs fan, here. Cody’s not appreciated by the Cubs. Phillies would be an ideal team. He can join other former Cubs players Nick Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber who were also under-appreciated by the Cubs and were a great fit for the Phillies. Hate to see Cody go, but the Cubs are a dead-end street with their Chicago Bears style management.

Well CW is a 34 year old 245 hitter who’s going to command a 3-4 years of at least 24-25 millions each plus he’s going to cost you pool money this is the money you use to sign international prospects for this reason I would rather trade for bellinger he’s not going to cost us top prospects unless the Yankees want the cubs to eat a large chunk of his salary
