It's almost like it's been a tale of three careers for Cody Garbrandt. He began his career 11-0, capping it off with a masterful performance to win the UFC bantamweight title from Dominick Cruz.
He was on top of the world at that point, but he didn't stay there for a long time. He lost five of his last six and many skeptics and critics wrote him off. But Garbrandt has won his last two in impressive fashion and now faces ex-flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 300.
Garbrandt said that working with a sports mental coach has changed his outlooked and helped him considerably.
In this interview, he also talks about what he expects from Figueiredo and how things might go.
