This song brings tears , I retired from the road 10 years ago after 35 years because of M.S. taking my ability to walk and use my right arm and I miss the road dearly.

After 40 + yrs in the saddle, Dr's said a broken neck and back and arthritis have finished me. Ride any more and I'm in a wheelchair. Granddaughter finally made my decision for me. Don't do it grandpa, I need you 😢 I miss it every day. But I've realised that what I was chasing for all those yrs doesn't mean anything compared to this little girl. My happy place was in my Pete. Now it's every second I get to spend with my girls. Making up for lost time doesn't always mean hammer down. Those old enough to remember when we could let em go with sticks to the wall will understand. There's no other feeling like it when the needle goes way out off the chart. But the feeling I get from my girls is more important. Live life. Be proud. Truck on. 🤟😎👍🚛🚛🚛

WHAT an amazing gem of a song! True words of truckers, what they encounter out there, and the people they leave behind! There's an OLD Hank Williams song with the same title! I thought this would be a remake of that; but no, it's an equally amazing song with a like title!

Amazing video brother. I think too many people forget who Truckers are and what they do. People just don’t understand that their lives would end without Truckers. Everything we take for granted in this life is moved by Truck. If the trucks stop rolling….it’s over. 😢

I rode with my Brother Raymond “DIXIE” was his CB Handle. I can see the lure of driving across the country. He’s probably bee about 70% of cities, towns across this great country. I once quizzed him talking on the phone. I had a Atlas Map of the USA and I would name a town, and he knew where every one was. I didn’t bother with cities, I called out small towns.
Sweet, love that drive, I-84 into the gorge headed west. Gods country with a great song

"Lost Highway" They say it's a lost highway They must be right 'Cause I've been driving for years And it's just beyond my sight And I am too far gone to be turning around So I just look ahead and drive I remember the way it always made me feel When David Allen sang "The Ride" It takes you up, it takes you down The road don't end, it just goes around It makes you laugh, it makes you cry It makes you live and die And what I have lost, what I have gained Is all to none, it's still the same I will will drive until I find Until I find that lost highway Many others have traveled this road I try to steer clear Of all the wreckage and the shattered souls Forgotten in the years And the ghosts that walk on the side of the road Say to turn your car around One day, son, you'll be waking with us Searching for what can't be found It takes you up, it takes you down The road don't end, it just goes around It makes you laugh, it makes you cry It makes you live and die And what I have lost, what I have gained Is all to none, it's still the same I will drive until I find Until I find that lost highway What I have lost, what I have gained Is all to none, but still the same I will drive until I find Until I find that lost highway ........... WOW It's not the highway, this song talking about life They say... they must be right And I am too far gone to be turning around That's when I go wrong and sometimes I am too far to be turning to the right way It takes you to live, it takes you to die .. Yes always It makes you laugh, it makes you cry .. always It takes you up, it takes you down .. always Until you find your way. I'm still living on the lost highway .. You know what .. Fuck this life and CHEERS

For the world it is a simple task, perhaps of little value or little understood and ignored, but let's think about what it means to get away from everything to feel that melancholy, you move away and disconnect from everything, from your family, your wife, your children and Even yourself, sacrifice your rest, your routine, but also feel that joy, that freedom, the road, nature, the sunset and the sunrise before you, my respects to all those who, without waiting for the recognition of the world, move the logistics and resources on highways around the world.
