Finally getting around to checking out Cody Jinks on the channel. His new single "Must be the Whiskey" is pretty great, and I'm glad to see it in the Top 20 on iTunes Country! I owe The Rock for turning me on to Cody!

About 7 years ago. I heard Mr. Jinks play at the Rockett Cafe in Rockett ,Tx he was singing loud and heavy to a room of 10 people... Last year I went to see him at Verizon theater in Grand Prairie, Tx sold out show. It's been amazing to follow him and his music!

This man is keeping it real in the country world today. I feel he doesn't get the recognition he deserves. He's the real deal. Saving country one song at a time.

Great review !! Really spot on , on the writing 👍Check out the songwriter of this awesome Cody Jinks single , Josh Morningstar !!! . His songs are all great , wich is why Cody recorded it , I’m sure . Josh is a great performer in his own right , and tours the entire USA 🇺🇸 constantly . He also grows a mean beard lol competition level .

Yes! Yes! Yes! I love Cody Jinks. The guy writes great songs and I can't get enough of his voice. He's not reinventing the wheel with what he does but there's no need to when you can do what he does this well. I love this song. It's got such a cool beat. I'm glad you mentioned the bassline at one point. I think the bass nearly always on point in his songs. Can't wait for the album.

I know this is long but I have all the suggestions right here. You need to check out Cody Johnson (Never Go Home Again, and anything on his Gotta Be Me album); Randy Rogers has some killer songs in Interstate, Meet Me Tonight, Tequila Eyes; Josh Abbott Band is my all time favorite (the story he tells through the whole Front Row Seat albums will bring you to your knees), Stoney Larue has great songs such as Velvet and Feet Don't Touch the Ground. If you want to step into more of a Southern Rock/Texas Country scene, you need to check out Blackberry Smoke (Sunrise in Texas, One Horse Town) or Whiskey Myers (Broken Window Serenade and Stone). Jon Wolfe is newer to me, but has a great voice that could pick up in Nashville in the future. Flatland Cavalry is on the Texas scene and killing it as well. BUT the dark horse name that not too many people know yet is RED SHAHAN. This guy is the bee's knees, his leg, and his foot. The real deal! Great Songs by Red are Men & Coyotes, Someone Someday, 303, Long Way to Fall, and Boom Town. Honorable mentions: William Clark Green, Wade Bowen, Casey Donahew, Read Southall, Shotgun Rider

Love your country reviews. I moved to Europe from Canada, and love the 90's style country (not a fan of bro country). Love watching your videos for songs to listen to since I don't get country radio here (unless over the internet). Another Texas country singer I found last year I think you should review is Jon Wolfe.
