Fisch, gotta say man.... going and actually genuinely reacting to a genre that's not your own, and a genre that gets stomped on a lot, and reacting honestly and embracing others culture is impressing. Takes a true man to do so.

For me, the rodeo was Nascar. Working starting on small teams where we worked in small dirty shops from 8am-till work was done, drove to most races, worked our butt off at the track, then drive home and do it again. Sundays off if we were lucky. When I made it to a “big team” I worked 8-4:30 Monday/Tuesday with Wednesday off. Fly out Thursday, bust butt at the track and fly back Sunday right after the race and be in the shop Monday.

Everyone has their own interpretation of “The Rodeo” Could be a marriage, a job, or an actual rodeo. Cody is a lyrical genius

I love that the song is written to be both metaphorical and literal, leaves you wondering about every line
@peytonprince5446 Жыл бұрын
His newest song “human” has a lyric in there that (to me) explains a little more about him rodeoing. It says “I never planned on being nothin' but a cowboy But somewhere I picked up this old guitar” it’s a beautiful song with a great meaning, You should definitely listen to it!

Your videos always come up in my KZbin suggestions and I bloody love watching them! Your reactions are always so heartfelt and honest, sometimes I laugh, sometimes it gets a bit emotional, but I really respect how you can find so much to appreciate even in a genre you might never have been interested in. Keep up the good work mate! From Yass Valley Australia 🦘

I love how it really is a "love song" for rodeo. Like, replace "buckle" for "ring" and its just a love song like any other. And what I really like about that is it really conveys the meaning of a sport or pursuit to a person. It is like a relationship. There are highs and lows, but even when its done, you still love it and realize you would do it all again even though you know it will hurt in the end.

Those belt buckles are earned by being a rodeo champion. And, when you get a certain age, you need to be quitting anyway, like any other full contact sport. This guy is a real talent & I'm loving his music. And for a real rodeo champion who also made some really cool music was Chris LeDoux. You would LOVE his song 'This cowboy's hat'. Please check it out. I promise, after seeing how you are reacting to certain songs, It's an older one, but timeless. I know you would appreciate this one.,

Growing up in rural USA, I’ve been to a million rodeos and it takes heart, talent and nerves of steel, especially to ride rough stock and run barrels. It’s been awesome that women are getting more involved in rodeos and now there are mixed gender roping events and breakaway roping for women. I only ride horses for fun, I couldn’t do what the women in rodeo do.

Buckle I’ll never put on meaning the ultimate buckle every guy or guy wants to win, which is the world champion cowboy/cowgirl. In his case the world champion bull rider from the national finals rodeo, which he never won. Guys rodeo their whole life and never get to win that gold buckle. It’s a dream to every guy or girl out there who rodeos.
