@perfusus Apart from general nostalgia, it's a fighting game that entirely revolves around your ability to read you opponents moves. The games have constantly dished out amazing and memorable soundtracks, the characters are fun to play and pretty present a number of unique fighting styles (save shotos). Visually speaking it's rather appealing, and has maintained this throughout all of the titles. It's just a rather good game. So yeah, fucking everything

@quintet95 It's mainly because Cody actually takes a great amount of skill to use. He doesn't have a wakeup game, he can't get out of pressure situations [which means you are gonna have to actually block and READ to tech throw].

man, he's like abel with a better anti, air, worse way to get thorugh fireballs, more hitconfirmable links, less mix ups, chipdamage, more juggling, and no command throw. i personally think he'll be as dangerous or almost as dangerous as abel overall.

@shadowslots Yeah, as a Cody player myself, these combos are very viable. There may not be a low mixup game in the combos, but where Cody shines is frame traps. So many of Cody's moves look like there is a large enough gap to squeeze in an invincible move like a DP, but they'll get stuffed because many of Cody's normals keep him at a frame advantage. That's why these combos are so viable.

@abortzee timing isn't easy, but you can link a standing medium punch into U2, and you don't need counter. nice to see the player get two meds in. i was working on that last night. it seemed possible, but i couldnt get it. on counter you can low fierce punch, ex rock, to ultra 2(pretty easy).

@DonnieLove214 Sometimes you may give up on a character because you may not understand his true potential. With characters like Ryu, Akuma, Sag it's easy to see. I started using Sagat because he was top tier but liked El Fuerte better but found him very difficult to wrap my head around. I ran across some TKD videos and saw what his potential could be so I stopped playing SA, picked up Elf and he's my main now. Cody was like that initially then I started seeing his and this vid just adds to it.

@FeralFoxDemon Focus Attack, EX Rock Throw, Ultra 1 Very easy to do and only uses up one meter. Other than that, ruffian kick FADC into Ultra 1 is as stock standard as it gets.

Great video, shows what Cody is(isn't?) capable of, but it looks like this will pretty much be all that he can do. The only thing that I can see coming up in the future will be some kind of infinite or some kind of broken mechanic that allows him to exploit it to his advantage. Still, this is not meant to be some kind of diss or anything towards the video or you.

@trucomment I've noticed that people who don't use fight sticks or can't get used to it usually are from a different gaming generation. I can't imagine using a game pad then again I grew up during a time where that was our only option in the arcades. @TetsuyaHikari The player and character hand in hand, yes. That's as far as it goes, especially when talking about a console character such as Sakura. You can't say "Wow, Sabre beat Sanford Kelly with Sakura, she's really a force to be reckoned with" You're going to watch out for Sabre using Sakura, anyone else using Sakura will simply not be taken seriously. I do agree with you though on the Gamerbee comparison, how any character can be lethal in the right hands.

@IceWilly1 yes, bingo hits crouchers. any combo in my video that involves close s.fierce punch or c.fierce punch, will work at all times into high ruffian, since those 2 moves stand the opponent up. criminal upper also stands people up, but that requires an fadc after the criminal, then another fadc after ruffian. thats a lot of meter =(
