I just found you and love all the Arkansas videos as I live there. The umbrella magnolia is common around that river- with a cluster of huge leaves at the end of the branch. Or, pawpaws have similar leaves but they alternate up the branch. It's a sub-tropic climate, so there are some very different plants there. Thanks for showing the state's natural beauty.

There's a song that mentions that tree from Disney's, The Jungle Book. Baloo's song, Bare Necessities... Knew all those songs by heart because my daughter, Katie, was obsessed with the movie when she was 3 or 4. Now she's 23. Since a flash flood in June 2010 when 20 people were killed in a flash food Albert Pike is a day use only camp ground. So camp at your own risk and please remember those who were lost.

Here in North Carolina we call them a Wahoo or Cucumber tree. They will at some time will have a red cucumber like fruit in the middle of those leaves. Not a hard wood or dense but heavy.

I had no idea how beautiful the mountains actually were. Do u have any spots to see snakes?? I have seen 0 in my 3 trips. Tons of Ouachita salamanders though. Theyre endemic to that area. Flip some rocks in the creeks you will find some ✌

The tree you need identification is definitely a species of Magnolia- Umbrella Magnolia. The leaves are sometimes up to three feet long- too large, too long to be a Paw Paw. These trees grow in my land in Virginia and their leaves can be as long as my arms. g.co/kgs/ew3er3

Wow. Very lovely preserve. I am absolutely stunned that Pike had it named after him. From what I gather about the character himself, he is the most celebrated Mason in North America. He was a civil war confederate general, the co-founder of the KKK and author of an outline for 3 world wars. His shrine was defiled in a BLM attack in Washington DC however Trump immediately vowed to have it repaired. It is through his most famous work "Morals and Dogma" that we understand Luciferians at the highest levels of government. He also managed to have a name equating to 33 in pythagorean numerology. My wife and I were camping at Albert Pike nine months before the flood that killed those twenty people. It flooded while we were there. Not as much, but enough that we couldn't cross the river and had to take back roads to Shady Lake to get out. It was crazy. I've got pictures of water splashing over the rock wall at the swim area.

We seen a baby copperhead on this trip, but it went behind a large bolder out of sight. We try to film all the wildlife we see, but sometimes they move too fast. For example, we have seen countless bears in Arkansas, but never seem to have the camera ready when we see them.

There out there. Not so bad during the day, but if you make a fire at night, the smoke runs off the mosquitoes. However, we always to a tick check every evening.

@@CodyandKellie I know it, love that area too, but you guys should know it is notorious for flash floods. It's about an hour drive there for me depending if I go through Shady or not.

retepish we know. This is Cody. I grew up there as a child and experienced flash floods in the area back in the 90s with my parents. Fully understand and respect the area. Never go there to camp when a rainy weekend is expected.

NF Road - 512 just north of Albert Pike campground. There are many camping stops along that road
