I lived in Pensacola from 1990-2008. Met my hubby there. He asked me to marry him on a bunker at Ft Pickens. It will always hold a place in my heart. We moved from there to Hot Springs Village on January 1st, 2009, where we lived till his death in 2017. (He was born and raised in Arkansas and introduced me to that beautiful state). I still have property there but spend most of the time in Arizona and the West Coast to see family. So y'all have safe travels and keep up the great videos.

I’m enjoying your trip in Florida! That jellyfish that you found on the beach is called a Portuguese man-of-war. Do not ever touch one or let it touch you, it’ll light you up like fire. And cause burning and welts. I know this because I spent most of my life in Florida, fishing, and surfing and hanging out at the beach. I love watching y’all shows! Keep up the great work! Safe travels.

I was just popping on to let them know the same thing. Steer clear if they are blue-ish!
@reneepowell85412 жыл бұрын
Thankfully, in the water, the balloon-like top of the Portuguese man-o-war floats on top and is pretty visible.
@nancyclark69792 жыл бұрын
Even though they are floating on top, their tentacles are very long under water and sting like fire and the sting lasts and swells up. Very unpleasant. If you get stung, use ammonia to help take the sting away. I've lived in Florida my whole life and have delt with their stings.
@faithrada2 жыл бұрын
@Nancy Clark Unpleasant is an understatement! LOL.. Even dead they can get you! Yup... stay clear.

Oh man, you're killing me with those beach shots and shells.... brings back suppressed memories when I was about 4 years old and hanging out on the Biloxi beaches. 54 years later, and I'm remembering that, love it, time to go back!!

Wow! That beautiful beach all to yourselves! That is nice. Cody, it's really cool that you are learning all types of fishing. You know, some people say that they don't watch your videos as much since you got the truck camper. That you have become just another glamping vlogger. Just want to let u know, y'all are the only traveling, camping(glamping), vlogging page I watch. Yes, it's different but it's all still good! Setting up all those camps with tents and breaking them down, could wear anybody out! Will we ever see that again? Probably. I will stay tuned to find out! Florida beach-life was great! Thanks for the tag-along! Safe travels till next time🌞✌

That beauty is a Portuguese Man-o-war. Very toxic! It isn't actually a jellyfish at all. I grew up in Galveston. Those things are no joke! And speaking of jelly, I am feeling jelly of you two at Fort Pickens ❤️ Love that place!!

Funny cause we pull and park where as a truck camper you have to pack up and secure, anytime you want to go somewhere. Different strokes for different folks. We love national and state parks with a camp base to come back to after exploring. No roadside parking for us just not safe anymore. 😊

Love your vids. You can get a small indoor antenna and pick up stations from about 30 miles away. Might have to change sides with it depending on the direction. Lots of good "side" channels on most of the networks now. I think I would rather a pull behind, or thought I would. You make a good point about parking. :)

And the Saltsquatch crew seem like really cool guys, too.). Thanks for doing what you do, and sharing it with us. All the best for a happy holiday season and a healthy, happy new year! Can I ask, what are your academic/professional backgrounds?
