I really enjoy your videos. Your description of the places, the trees and the fauna of the area is really great. I retired after 30+ years with the USFS and your outdoor ethics with regard to preventing trail damage, cleaning up old campsites and following regulations is impressive. If we had more Cody and Kellys the forests and parks would be much better for everyone.

Maumel is awesome. Full canopy of mature trees. Views of the river/lake at every site. Watch the huge ships glide by at night. Shopping center, pizza, cafes etc Less than 5 minutes away. Not far from Little Rock, but far enough. No urban sprawl like some areas. I just sat in a camp site elevated enough for a picturesque view of red tail hawks swoop down on unlucky squirrels and bald eagles diving for fish. Not crowded except weekends.

Man, yall have the best places to camp, im hoping to move to the Ouachita mountains in the next year, not to camp or overland but to buy some property and build and camp on...i think overlanding in general hurts the forest quite a bit with its co2 and tracks. So your saying putting ruts in mountain bike trails, the state or park service does not maintain them? I don’t mountain bike but that seems like something you should bring up with the park system or maybe with the governor.

You might have state and national parks reversed? For instance, at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park it is illegal to rock hunt.

No rock hounding in state and national parks. In national forest it’s ok to take anything you find without bringing in excavators.

So you have been in it for a while are you still loving the truck camper? How is the build quality in your opinion? Do you retreat not getting one with a slide out?
@CodyandKellie Жыл бұрын
We still love it. It’s cozy, no structural issues. Most of the problems at the beginning were minor. Just took some tweaking. The slide out would have required a dually and we didn’t want to go that route.

If you can't on here please give me an email address and I'll send you mine so I can get in touch with him. Thanks for all your content.
