Fr. I hope they don't make this a consistent trend cause otherwise, we have to save 2 characters worth of pulls to use a 5* main dps character at a good potential which is a red flag. I knew the rates were gonna be trash the moment I saw that they followed hoyoverse's footstep for gacha but I was hoping maybe they can be a somewhat generous with the summoning currency in exchange, but they didn't really do that either. Weeklies gives some, but if we need the weapon as well, then it's way too little. I was hoping jotun tunnel was a weekly reset but turns out it is biweekly which is a bummer.

@@youness4247 I got lucky with 5* chenxing and her weapon, but I'll probably not roll for any more limited characters knowing that they rely on the limited weapons. Luckily game difficulty is still confined to only really needing the non-limited characters, so lets hope it stays that way.

@@zel6010 I think the weeklies are alright. Its digicash for 15 rolls + 2 standard rolls. You then have story, tactics evaluation, and likely continuous events. Same with the gacha rules as it carriers over and the pity amount is reasonably low. This is offset by the comparatively lower rates. You should comfortably get enough for one pity every event version. So you can 100% get a limited character in maybe 2 months? Might seem a lot but I guess I came from games like kancolle, FGO, and Genshin, HSR etc. So it seems pretty friendly to me. Only game I played that was nicer was Azur lane which didn't have pity but very generous rates. As for weapons, its too early to really say anything. We only had two limited characters, and only one of them also require the weapon. Acacia did not. With a sample size of 2, and a 50/50 split, there's no way to tell if this is a trend or not.

I just bought the 4* sig weapon for her. she'll be fine without the 5* sig weapon. she tears through the towers pretty easily. here's hoping that in the future they can add more weapon variety to the game same with logistics. adds more to the experience if you can customize your build on how you want to play a character. I also think they need to stop with the limited banner and just add a character to the pool. I have played quite a few gacha games, and this is the first time I experienced 2 limited characters back to back. Path to Nowhere has 1 limited character, Alchemy Stars has 1 think.

Good summary. Accurate and fair. I'd 100% agree that you need her signature weapon to get some good damage out of her. The only 4* electrical rifle is a support weapon, and her support skill is weak. Chenxing is designed to be a main dps.

They need to do something about the 50/50. It's ridiculous to have go through it twice to have a "full" character. If you loose both 50/50 you have to spend 280 pulls, which make 44.800 digicash, I don`t even know if somebody ever got this amount of it since the game launched. It`s impossible to survive in this game unless you're a whale.

@@neurofiedyamato8763 First of all, you kinda do need "all" the character and weapons in the game cause the content start to get pretty hard in the Dispatch modes. Second, it is not only about clear the games's content, it is about getting easier access to characters and gameplays you like to have fun with and also about quality of life and user experience, two things that apparently you've never heard about.

She's fun to play and hot to boot plus you get a free skin. She doesnt do a Yaomillion damage without her sig but if thats all there is to playing this game shit would get old fast.

Like what you said, if characters need their signature weapon to be better, it will change the game into p2w. As I noticed, Yao without space cowboy's damage is like night and day, not sure about the rest though since I don't have them. The thing that worries me as well are the banners. You can only get characters from the character banner and weapons from the weapon banner. As a waifu collector you'd focus only on pulling for characters so that means, you'll get dupes of 4 star characters. Enjoy running around with your 3 star weapon on that 5 star character... So you actually need a lot of rolls to get your character, plus the 50/50, then another one for the sig weapon, again 50/50 so you'd need like 80 x 2 and 60 x 2 (am I correct?) if super unlucky. So yeah, even if they do add in more 4 star weapons that are good, you won't get them unless you roll in a weapon banner... Which means you have to roll for more...

I don't mind the distinction between the 2 banners but if the weapon was guaranteed and not 5050 or if you can use the currency you get for pulling to obtain some weapon vouchers from the shop i think that would improve things dramatically

@@Furtherbeyondgaming Now that you mentioned it, I think there's a shop exchange for 5 star weapons but it costs 400 something of some currency that you get from pulling. Not sure how many pulls are those. For 4 star weapons, there's also the 300k from the cash shop... But still... I don't know how to feel about this... Forgot to mention: great guide btw, I, too like Chenxing's design and really want to build her into a good dps char.

i feel like they might put her logistics in the shop with the other special logistics, i could see this being a theme for all signature logistics, because right now having only those three sets in the shop feel kinda strange. so i bet that's what they're planning.

I think she works just fine as a support without the 5* weapon assuming you can get the 4* electrical assault rifle (duckling) that lowers electrical resistance when support skill is used. Then her kit works perfectly as a support for Fenny. but yeah the weapon is powerful, but imo is not needed if you intend her as support or sub-DPS

I was thinking the same thing , I have been leveling weapons to customize parts on the duckling , I will test but I’m pretty sure that a support skill from any character procs the electrical damage down Her four star recommendation is a kinetic AR , I feel that the logistic and weapons are not the best in slot at times . For example fritia bush iron body IS a shield , I only know this because I had the attack up from shield logistics equipped in fenny and it worked

I don't. I prefer variety where you pick logistics based on what is needed or how you use a character. Rather than 1 logi set for 1 character pairing. It means logistics set are useful for more than one character. It would be super frustrating getting a set that you don't have a character for. That sounds stupid.

Miss the Ult? I feel it in Acacia - Kaguya, Miss the Skill? I feel it in Lyfe - Wednesday, even Acacia - Kaguya target miss the support skill. What I mean is that was a skill issue. So that is not a problem for me

I don't know, man. I saw another video saying this and decided to test. They were saying that Lyfe was stronger somehow without the wep and that it was a struggle to get past wave 23 in the Tower without the weapon. I used a l30 Indicator (4* chaos weapon) and got to wave 42 before stopping from just being exhausted. I should have recorded and will try to later, but at M0 L60 with a support level 30 thermal wep compared to Lyfe at M0 both using Lyfe's logistics she killed the solo L60 boss in half the time. Even with a DPS level 30 weapon Lyfe was a minute slower than Chen with the support weapon. I haven't had much time but honestly do not think Fenny or Yao can get as far in the Towers as Chen similarly built. I took her to wave 60 where it gets really annoying because of the sheer number of enemies, how spongy they are, and how many one-shots can happen. For Fenny who has to stand right next to her targets one at a time and has a hard time staying behind cover, and for Yao who has to set up multiple headshots at that point, I think Chen is the best DPS for that specific situation. To me that's a good thing, Yao outshines on many bosses, Fenny does in other areas. But they did a good job of creating a character, along with a game mode, where she is probably optimal. I haven't tried Fenny and Yao as far because it's really exhausting and I haven't had the time, but considering how often you need to isolate an enemy while using the various walls to block all the gun fire from the other enemies, it really seems like it'd be a nightmare. Especially since you're dodging so often it's hard to reload let alone set up headshots or charged ultimate shots. So, I guess the question is what is meant by NEED. I do not see any reason Chen is not able to easily complete content with off weapons. Her actual weapon is like a Corvette to a Corolla, but that to me is a good thing. If you sacrifice a character as F2P or money as a spender to get it, it better be a noticeable power fantasy, it just shouldn't be a NECESSARY power jump.

There aren't a lot of weapons rn in the game so a lot of characters suffer from the "pull for siganture" syndrome. Even Wild Hunt has no 4star frost dmg weapon that is actually good on her. Please don't pull on weapons, unless you're heavy on pulls (REALLY HEAVY) or a whale, wasting pulls on extra stats instead of more characters to play is just not worth it :(

What i have been doing lately in some games is to summon on every banner till a point. If i get the character within 30 or 40 pulls that's a win., above that i need to do some thinking since i'm already halfway to pity.

To be fair 5* Chenxing isn't the only one that needs their signature weapon in order to do the max damage that they can. Even Yao and Fenny suffer from that. Yao's damage is like night and day with and w/o space cowboy. Fenny is the same. Don't get me wrong they are still strong even w/o their signature weapons and works well even with just their bis 4* weapons but to reach insane damage they all need their 5* weapons.

Naw, 5* Fenny doesn't have to have her signature weapon, she can function fine as a high on-field dps even without her signature weapon, discordance shotgun from the free weapon selector box works great (ofc having her weapon is great though, not denying that). 5* chenxing just isn't good as a on-field dps without her signature weapon.

For the dudes that might have missed what I've just said, Fenny is strong and works well with her bis 4* weapon. But to do "way more damage" she'd need her 5* But to say Fenny is better with her 4* than with Sunny Payback lmao. Sunny Payback's base stats alone are way more than enough to overpower Discordance's advantage in fire rate also Fenny compensates fire rate with her E skill which is more than enough. Lastly Sunny Payback's effects? It makes Fenny feel like she's shooting a cannon instead of a shotgun this is more ridiculous at M1 and more on M2.

@@Furtherbeyondgaming with Chenxing it's hard to tell how much damage she loses w/o her 5* there's just too much damage numbers on the screen to keep track so she needs further tests and like you've said she lacks better 4* AR alternatives right now. But Yao is easier to check since she just chucks up single high damage numbers per shot so it's easy to compare how much more or less damage she deals with and w/o Space cowboy. And oh boy the difference is huge.

At this rate, I'll only roll for new characters if i've already maxed out an existing 5* from Personal Files. Imo, if characters are going to be skill heavy, then they need to reward skilled play much more than the simple, straightforward characters. I get why devs would make skill based characters but again, they have to be much, much better than easy characters. Her ulti requiring setup ties into her design but ultimates should be your get out of jail card, when you really need that nuke or burst dps.

Save for better characters in future I recommend! Lyfe Wild Hunt gets the job done already she’s very good. And you get the new outfit to add more flavor. Fenny and Yao are very good also. Chenxing is not bad by any means, but she isn’t incredible. Get a character that’s incredible that’ll be worth your spending.

Best sub stat for Logistic? I feel like Crit rate stat is scarce. What is the point of buying multiple of same logistic? The stat is random? Is there any information on list of possible stats that will appear on logistic? And could someone explain how stat reroll works?

attack% is best by far. electrical damage would be second best, then crit damage amp, and lastly, probably alignment index.

Tbh i am hearing a lot of opinions that she needs her signa weapon but have u tried yao without cowboy or marian without her signa or even fenny with a 4 star shootgun even if u may believe they can do better as a person who tried her with a 3 star weapon they rly dont expecially if ur playing on mobile and even if u play on pc snipers have a highter skill gap than ar spam u dnt even need to ads with her her dmg is rly fine if u get her human logistics and not trash ones put some levels on weapon and logistics and she will do fine i ended up getting her weapon same day later and the gap beetwen no signature and signature is huge but thats also true for other dps we have on the game that being said later on event shop we r getting a 4 star weapon made for her so even if u dnt get her signature could be okay cuz game after all is very not that hard tbh so u should be fine with even using 4 star characters if u like her go for her dnt get step back cuz of what u hear shes rly fine

i got 1 question do we always get a crits if we it hits weaks spots like a headshot or it just random depanding on ur crits chance? since as we know getting crits chance in this games is pretty low unless u using the 5*fanny that give crits chance on her aligments.

commenting while watching video. Also I didn't pull for her for several reason. Since you mentioned weapon first - since her weapon is so strong, there is nothing similar to it, rendering it to be must to have at all costs. I don't like the ultimate as well. only good point 5* Chexing has is S-skill and ultimate. outside of it she is kinda bad. Her support skill is weak. I didn't have opportunity to test her outside the trial, but she feels very weak. Although her S-skill and ulti kinda does a lot of dmg, problem is compared to my 4* fritia with 5* weapon she is weak. trial version seems very weak so I can assume she is generally that weak. bcs my fritia doesn't have maximum lvl logistics, nor manifests. she is only M1. but was doing twice as much dmg as 5* cheshing. Overall if you have yao and fenny, most likely you don't need her, even having another 5 star would be enough. but sadly I have Marian and no resources to properly invest in her. what I've really wanted is AR or even sub machine gun, having another sniper is kinda bad.

I think it would have helped to clarify what the ultimate(s) do and how they're expected to behave vs the pitfalls for improperly deploying them. For someone unfamiliar with every single little thing in this game, you saying, "These ultimates are hard cause you gotta do all the things," tells me nothing, unfortunately. I don't mean to nitpick. It genuinely makes it difficult to understand as a flaw/issue with no specificity. Or on the other hand, it could full-swing sway someone to be disinterested without even understanding why.

I get your critique and appreciate it. I'm going in with assumption that you have prior knowledge on what the ult does. If you do not, I would hope you would do your due diligence to know what it does before deciding not to pull for a character simply based off what said, especially if you do not understand what I am saying. Furthermore, I'm showcasing the ultimate in game so you can see what it does and I show it multiple times. I do that to give you visual while explaining why people may dislike. Lastly I state that I love the ultimate and I think it's one of the best in the game. So by no means do I not like it or think it's bad.

@@Furtherbeyondgaming So me personally, I have the character; the current banner one at least. I've read the tooltip and I (believe) i understand how the ultimate works. You cast the standard skill to land all the silk slips on the targets, then basically detonate them with the ultimate. From the video that definitely wasn't explained. But it was partially shown. Or what about it is "difficult" per se. Like I believe shooting them before using the ultimate would cause them all to detonate and eventually go away; making the ultimate less potent. But despite this, you mentioned two other units prior, kaguya and Hush. Neither of which was explained or shown beyond "gotta do all the things." As someone who has Kaguya, without explanation, I was a little confused since her skills and ult *Are* the setup. They don't really require it. I don't have hush, and I don't know what her ultimate does so I just don't know. As an individual, I agree, after the fact, yea I can just go look up what was missed or misunderstood. And I will, dw lol. But my point mainly is when bringing up examples, to qualify them. Thank you for reading and responding, though. Otherwise a fine video 👌

@@mss0267 ok so you do understand how the ult works lol your first comment made it appear as if you had no idea. So I explained in the video that the problem most people are complaining about with Chenxings ult is that enemies can simply walk out of it or you can miss it entirely. So you need to set it up more, what i mean by setup like I explained in the video is to cc the enemy or wait for them to telegraph a move that keeps them in place a bit or break off a part of them so they get stunned. This all applies for fritia hush like I explained in the video and for Kaguya I made sure to follow up and say it doesn't pertain to her as much but you can still miss the ult if you just throw it out there. And this is why i dont like weapon gachas in games where its the only option. The only game i've played that did weapon banners right was Langrisser M. Since you can acquire the same gear through daily dungeons at a very good drop rate i might add. all weapon banner does is let you get more tries. Whenever they add new gear its exclusive banner only for a few months before it hits the dungeons and im okay with that (game is rta heavy so they drop before new season for whales. Im still playing Snowbreak but they need to be more generous with standard tickets/weapon tickets at the very least. Especially weapon tickets since those are locked to standard characters only, why do they need to be so stingy to only give us 1 ticket a month! that said if there was a way for us to also farm for 5 star weapons, or at the very least 4 star weapons then that wouldn't be so bad. right now im not summoning for anyone until i can guarantee at least 3 pities worth (try 50/50 on character, then go for weapon. 2 pities worth to make sure you get it)

Why is the game recommending 4 star chaos weapon for her? Since lot of power is locked behind having lightning weapon it seems very odd. Allmost like developer cope "you can use this shitty weapon we give you for free too!" Lol

Cause there isn't a 4* dps-orientated electric dps rifle. all of the 4* electric dps rifles are for supports, albiet I think odd alley cat somewhat works as the index can help increase her damage and duckling because it gives attack%.

Thats the greedy gacha model they went for from the get go thinking every mobile game should make $30 mil, well that won't happen probably but i lack the fortune-telling neuronics to be certain about such matters :). Pulling characters with 50/50, and weapons with 50/50 for total of 14 pulls if you hit both pity options without failing... But thats not all is it? Now on top of needing character specific weapons we get paid costumes with new or additional voices and skill animations ( Lyfe WH new costume in case someone is wondering has that in its description). So when you draw the line, how much $ is "enough" for a costume, new hairstyle and some new auto generated partical sysem skill animation :) I mean its quite obvious all the body+head models are the same with slight slider variations and skin tones, even if the game has nice idea and gameplay that doesn't mean it can achieve incredible revenue in today's gaming market. Yeah i know, its mobile game and not those PC / consoles but FF XVI, BG III, Starfield, PoE 2 next year and so on back and forth in time cost less than 1 of those units with weapon and future costume ( oh yes you better believe it that all OG 5 stars and Chenxing 5 star are getting paid costumes same goes for Akasha in near future ). There's nothing wrong with wanting more money out of your product, but there has to be some reasonable income expectations and price evaluation of those products. Oh boy, this looks like a novel so I'll stop here, that's my opinion on pulling or anyone considering pulling now or in the near future, just know that having 4 star with all manifestations and upgraded weapon will most likely outperform any 5 star without her signature and manifestations, and you get double the amount from daily profile missions so before you pull any current or upcoming unit consider your resources available for pulls :) PS: It's just an opinion, feel free to correct me or completely disregard everything i said, time will tell as usual if this game has a bright future ( which i hope it does because i like the game no matter I don't like the way they got the gacha part done ) or it will become an example for developers/publishers to avoid mistakes when it comes to monetisation models and gacha games.

Honestly, probably the best way to spend the summoning currency right now is just summon on the standard weapon banner to get the weapons for the 2 5* characters or any other characters you got that you like. Once the game difficulty is too high, just quit or play very casually as I don't see much reason to get new characters if this is how they are gonna do character/weapon gacha.

I don't see how releasing cosmetics with extra voice lines and animations is ever a bad thing? You get more for your purchase. And said purchase is entirely optional without any performance boost. Its pretty much the ideal monetization model one can ask for. As for the gacha, I never treat first pity as the actual pity. I always assume the 100% hard pity as the "sale" price or the amount i need to save for as I'm F2P. There really isn't any disappointment just because you lost 50/50. he rules are pretty clear from the start. The problem i see here is many people are framing 50/50 as a bad thing? Then should it just be straight 160 pull for a character? Since that's the actual alternative, not 80. Anyways I played kancolle, then FGO, then Honkai, Azur lane, then genshin, and HSR. The only game that has a friendlier gacha was Azur lane. So i'm fairly satisfied here.

​​​@@neurofiedyamato8763unlike PGR where you need 6 pulls for guaranteed unit and 3 pulls for character specific weapon such costumes are revenue income, this game already have people struggling in pulls for units and weapons so clothing could be ignored and bring nothing for the game, it's not bad or anything, it's just overkill imho. Alone none of the things i said is troublesome, all 3 combined ( that doesn't even include the drop rates ) - unit+weapon+skin is a whole different story, as for my elaboration on what that story: Starting off with such model means you have very high expectations on your ROI/Revenue else why would you create such spending focused game in the first place? Even those who spend will get tired of what they get in return and if the revenue doesn't meet their expectations, the game dies and that's not something i want to see. Here's another example, would you rather have 100 people spending 1000$ or 1000-2000 people spending 50-100$? Because soon or later everyone pays attention to how much they need to spend if they decide to do so in today's cost of living. Most of the community will be f2p and low spenders as in most gachas, they are the ones behind every content creator and they keep the hype up for any game, whales don't need guides or who to pull, they just do. When that f2p part of the equation is gone ( moved to another gacha with less demanding gacha system so they spend to support the game ), the hype is gone, creators stop wasting time for content nobody is watching anymore and i get to the game goes into oblivion part. I could be very very wrong of course ( and i really hope i am ), but game scene has changed a lot since the first days of p2w gaming ( there's no PvP in Snowbreak but if there was ... Diablo Immortal will be great example ), people look for most they can get out of their money for entertainment. I'm not trying to start an argument or be disrespectful in any way to you, the game devs or anyone else, everything I'm saying is just an opinion based on previous experiences of mine with payment models in games for the past 20 years and someone who spend unhealthy amount of money in FFBE, so f2p is not the reason why i hope they rethink parts of their model as they already did with reducing 5 star weapon dupes needed. I was there when it all started with private WoW and Lineage 2 servers back in 2003, selling items before anyone else in the world could've imagined their game making more from item sales than monthly subscriptions. But that was back then, now the whole scenery is different and lets face it all gachas are side games to spend few minutes daily, for some people that make sense and that amount of entertainment is well worth the money, but is it really? I see growing disappointment over the pulls a lot of people got out of this and previous banner, that's my concern and why i even took the time to write 2nd novel. I'm not f2p and i am supporting games i love playing, but what i get in other games compared to what i got with the same amount of money in Snowbreak ... It's honestly bad. It could've been worse of course, and it's my own experience with the game, but this time I'm not alone in my bad experience. Hopefully things will get better in time and this game will be around for the years to come because it's looking good, devs are responding and communicating with community and this honestly is the only reason I'll keep supporting the game. Players want the game to succeed, devs want the same thing, conversations are there ... Everything should work out just fine in the end right? :)

hey guys check this out the new chexhing char was probably a completely new character to begin with, take a closer look at her 4-star variant and you can tell the HUGE difference, she's thicker (compare both side profile) and she is taller. hmmm and slightly different face

People wouldve been pulling if there are alternative event weapon rather than a skin that literally does nothing. I myself wouldve spend a couple of bucks just to get her if there was an alternate weapon because there just aint nothing so its an easy skip

Her weapon is coming in event shop made specialy for her is a 4 star and is basically farmable it just will come later I think that's confirmed
