I remember when i first saw Thoth and the poem of eventide outfit i was I awe. I had to skip many modifiers just to get her. And actually got her to SSS. and sometimes whenever i have nothing else to do, i would just poke fun or even trigger her skin interactions.

I like these kind of videos=) Also about the camera thing. I kinda wish they did something more with the camera after u finish a battle... U get the slow motion action scene thing which is cool, but its always the exact same angle. Would be nicer to see different/more or even random angles.

Selene's got the best design for me, by a wide margin. I also play a ton of gacha games -- and getting an adult female in a formal maxi dress is very rare. The rest are not bad, but none scream at me as must pulls.

My only major complaint is why tf she uses gun?! Where did you see a fricking Olympic God using a gun as weapon? Just makes no sense and brings down her design a lot. Otherwise is decent.

The designs, animations, story, VA, all drew me to this game. I was blown away when I saw the ultimate animations. But my biggest gripe is how convoluted building characters is. Once I got more into leveling my characters, I was overwhelmed with the layers and layers of enhancements. Taken as a whole, it's pretty ridiculous how many ways to basically increase stats there are. The baseline is like any other mainstream title (skills, sigils, weapon). But then they added enchants, warp codes, skill boosts, etc. It's clear they just kept tacking on more and more for players to "chase" after so they never feel finished. Players getting bored? Increase skill cap, add another game mode, add another currency, add another feature. Add, add, add. It follows the age old adage that less is more. This is the weakest part of AG to me and I really wish they streamlined. Because there is so much good in the game otherwise. The most common counterpoint is to simply ignore it. But the UI and menus lay it all there. You can't ignore building your characters either when you start dying in one of their many modes. What's wrong with my unit? Oh, here are the 10 areas you need to check to level up. I'll keep playing for now as I clear the story, but I strongly believe this is holding the game back.

@@Furtherbeyondgaming Considering the amount of new players / returning players, I think it would be very useful. From my perspective, my biggest questions are: what modes do I prioritize? What events should I prioritize? what can I ignore? how do I prioritize building my characters? i.e. I have several teams I'm supposed to build, which is best to focus on given limited resources? Do I just pick one element and can I clear most stuff with it? Luckily, I recently discovered the character builds google sheet, and that helped me copy it to build my Thoth. I'm primarily just pushing through main story while ignoring everything else including all the Challenge Modes (Hazard Zone, Reccurring Dream, etc.) and Event modes like Crisis Rehearsal, and Imago Nightmare (feels like time consuming modes I haven't even entered). There's 9 extra modes I'm ignoring because I have no clue which of the 9 I should actually worry about let alone the Main Story and Side Story. And seeing the timers on some of the modes I had to just ignore my fomo impulse and skip them. So yeah, for a new / new-ish /returning player, it feels like a lot.

Perhaps I'm an outlier and everyone has got AG figured out and everything is super intuitive, but I doubt it I'm the only one that feels overwhelmed by what's presented. For example, I struggle to know what to prioritize. What modes do I need to pay attention to? What character to focus on and build? When do I need to worry about building multiple teams? I'm currently only playing the main story and the farming mode for the event. I've ignored everything else. Because what I see is (1) Hazard Zone Cleaning, (2) Iterative Testing, (3) Recurring Dream, (4) Spirit Capture, (5) Dimensional Variable, (6) Casuality Survey, (7) Past Grudges, [Event] (8) Crisis Rehearsal, (9) Gray-box Testing. So when I login, I have to decide what of the 9 modes OR the main story do I do? Half of the modes have timers too. I keep seeing comments that AG is a great side game, but ignoring the main/side story (19! Chapters + 10 side story), there's a lot of decisions in figuring out what I should be doing with my limited time to play. There's also the whole (10) Flaneuring section and (11) Guild Joint Attacks to consider as well.

After I get Thoth to at least SS imma take a pause for while and save up again for when Brahma and Parvati comes out. I want to get Selene to but for now I'm good with my shadow team since I have a well built Hades. So I've got 3 main teams, a Jinwu team, an Izanami team, and a Hades team. Then I'm currently building my next 3 sub-teams with a Thoth team, then my planned Brahma/Team, then a third team maybe centered around S-Verdanti or water modifiers that comes next after Parvati. I wanted to further reinforce my shadow team with S-Oneroi and Selene but I had to skip 'em and save up for Brahma and Parvati. So after Thoth, I could get a good breather and farm up future events.
