The general definition for criminal battery pretty much anywhere in the US is (1) intentionally (2) making harmful or offensive contact with another person (3) without that person's consent. I feel like the best way to deal with a prankster when they’re getting in your face is to just put your hand on their shoulder and just stare at them.
