Die Hard is a good example. While I do enjoy the sequels aside from A Good Day to Die Hard, they really didn't need to happen. How many times can ONE man find himself in the same situation over and over? Nobody's that unlucky. We don't think about that while we're watching, but it really does seem silly and unrealistic. None of the sequels ever topped the original for me either. The first one is still my favorite.

Not trying to one up you mate, but the OG Halloween is actually my 7th favorite in the series after 2, 3, H20, RZH1, RZH2 and 2018. Listen...I don’t dislike H1, it’s just that I always have and always will find it...hard to get through. To me it’s just boring. And I’m someone who can watch Psycho and other Hitchcock films without getting bored for a second and they’re much older than Halloween. I don’t know what it is, I just find Halloween 1 to be dull and uninteresting. I find Season of the Witch to be a far better story. To me, Myers didn’t become interesting until the sequel. And hate the RZ remake all you want, but I find that version of Myers to be far scarier seeing as anyone can have mental illness or just suddenly snap and kill someone. It’s scary shit. And I always find movies that explore the dark side of the human mind to be scary and disturbing. Like I said, I don’t hate the OG film, and I respect it for what it did to the genre, but it’s not something I ever want to voluntarily watch because it’s hard to sit through it. In my personal 31 on 31 I have it at like #19. I don’t understand the praise that it gets and I don’t think I ever will. It’s one of the dullest movies I’ve ever seen in my life. I’ve watched it about 30 times in my life at different ages and everything and...I’ve always felt the same about it.

I always find the first halloween to be kinda boring and hard to get through myself. I haven't really found too many people who agree with me about the rob zombie Halloween's to be the best(in my opinion). There is no need to explain origins for those characters or follow their story in the future. They are idiots just hilariously living life. I agree with most of these, if not all. But the Matrix 100% should have never had any sequels. The film literally ends where Neo became the One, the Matrix crashed and he began to wake up those trapped inside. It would have been fine if they made spin-offs. But official sequels, no. Also, Die Hard and/or Die Hard 3 should have never had sequels. Die Hard 2 was sort of boring, but 4, 5 and 6 are absolute trash. There's absolutely nothing redeeming about them. Die Hard 3 worked well not just because of the well crafted action scenes and the great chemistry between John and Zeus, not to mention a pretty badass villain - but the story also made sense as a sequel. It made sense for John to be stuck in that situation, given the revenge angle that Gruber presented, even if it was mostly just a smoke screen.
