Lots of people including myself had never even heard of the original before watching this, I just thought this was an original movie. And I really liked it.

I loved the references in it, the idea is neat but I just found it to be pretentious? Super cool idea and legit had a couple freaky parts but besides the metaphor for it I didn’t get much more out of it. Cool premise, and sick soundtrack.

I’m soooo done with modern Harley Quinn. She’s cringe at this point.

The first Transformers movie was the one from the 80's - and it was great. The Michael Bay ones did nothing at all for me. Transformers One looks great.

I am boycotting movies for awhile. Extremely disappointed with the movie industry. People pay good money just so people can showcase their own egos😢

I thought the ideas being explored in the sequel were way more interesting than in the first. And they run an interesting parallel with the real world responses from some quarters. Watching comic movie fans reaction to the movie is a mirror of gaga walking out of the courtroom angry that fleck isn't who she thought he was from watching the movie. That he isn't a beacon for a movement just a mentally ill mass murderer. And his murderer carving a smile into his face after killing him was a powerful touch

I just watched it on HBO and I thought it was going to be a wack movie like the ones A24 has been producing lately. Let me tell you, I was surprised by the twists and there was a line that had this erie feeling from the town cop/chief He said this town is perfect for him its ready to be taken over (something similar to this not to spoil) just like this country and ran im like 😬. Kept telling myself this is an old movie right??? Saw the 2024 on the top right...... Fuck lol

You say you didn't read the novel and you don't remember the previous adaptation very well, which is fine, but you say "I think they did a good job of hitting all the main points of the novel and the miniseries". Also, isn't "hitting the main points" a low bar to clear?

Americans and their inability to handle grim endings... Did it with The Vanishing, did it again with this one. Lesser remakes.

The ending wasn’t Keven original. It was lifted directly from the Gotham tv series. This movie made me question why I praised the original

I don't think this movie is scarier or better then The Howling, its not the undisputed champion, all one has to do is watch it, and those that think so are stupid, there I said it.

This is a compliment. Are these scripted videos? I genuinely can't tell.

I think the movie was good at building up “joker” as a concept that was inspired by Arthur and carried on by his followers, even after he alienated himself from them. He reached his breaking point in the first film and the second explores that ideology of madness and how society adopts it to match their own lives. I don’t think Arthur was joker at all in this movie but rather a victim of what he created which is a joke in itself. I also think Harley was the embodiment of those who follow that mentality which is why she was never really interested in Arthur himself.

The musical pieces are an excuse for Lady Gaga to be in the movie and a cheap way for her to try to win an Oscar. She will likely be nominated for something.

This was a f*cked up horror. Did not expect going into a Joker film expecting to see a vulnerable man be assaulted, then murdered, while eating buttered popcorn and a cocktail in a f*cking theater on a Friday night. I thought maybe they break out and terrorize Gotham. But no, just bleak. I will say that the musical feeling like a commercial break or distraction because he was in a dissociative state, so yes it is on point with the film. Also, her not denying his fantasy of her being in the cell, is probably part of the point that she was exploiting his condition. Either way, I hated it.

I agree Hoffman rigged Cecelia test and made john think Amanda rigged it .... but john knew .. only thing ... they have to barely survive Ceceilia.... and i mean barley She must kill logan and Carlos's dad ... this is what sends amanda crazy ...but she didn't rig the trap for Ceceilia ... Hoffman did ... its has to be a race to a key ... that Hoffman puts the way to win out of reach .... and Cecelia dies ... so the gordon bathroom shows john knew ... same style ... I love Ceceilia.... its so nice to see a real threat.... her games would be world class ...
