You might think Scalextric's free pair of socks with every slot car promotion is one of the oddest promotions in slot car history, and you may well have a very valid point, but let me show you why it's not crazy at all (it is really) and in fact a brilliant and very relevant product to compliment slot cars.

I'm just starting my Thursday having breakfast and watching this video, and you have already made my day, Lol! For me, slot cars and socks share a much deeper connection. You see, my wife always wonders why I can buy new slot cars, yet wear old socks until there are holes in them. It's at the point where she's mentioned it to our grandkids, so when one of them comes over, he runs a "sock check" and will tell PopPop he must change his socks if there are any holes, Lol!
