BBW has done good scents sometimes. What I remember of Brown Sugar and Fig makes me mad that this is basically now BDK Gris Charnel for a lot more $. For me, best coffee scent is still Kerosene’s Follow. I wanted more coffee from Coffee and Whiskey.

You aren't basic. That fragrance is better than many designer fragrances that cost over $100. It smells like its name. Actually like coffee and real whisky. Shockingly good for the price. I own a ton of niche and I still like and wear that one

Follow is so good. I can't wait to see what you think of Followed. It's definitely not as coffee-forward. He basically reversed the structure, so the coffee is more up top and it settles to maple syrup and pastry. It is potent, so if you get it on clothes they are going to smell like syrup for a while.

This sounds kinda good, I like Rochas Man a lot. Definitely a huge fan of fragrances that put you in a time and place, that's really just the magic of perfumery, is how much they can make you think of a specific atmosphere, whether you've been there or not.

Great review! I’ve been looking for a good coffee fragrance and had this one on my list to try, but I think I’ll skip it now. I’m a huge lavender fan, but the seasons for wearing this where I am I feel are much too short. Also, as someone who lives through those -40 degree winters too, I want something denser and darker. I got a decant of Magenta Tanzanite in today that I’m testing, it’s nice but the coffee note in this one doesn’t come out on my skin until the dry down and also wasn’t what I was looking for exactly. Will definitely be adding Followed to the list!

Thank you for that, I bought a decant of this and it will be here this weekend. I will agree with you on the lighter vibe of the Replica line but nice and balanced, slightly linear to me. Hopefully, I like it due to the creamyness, but I don't really like too much lavender.

@robes08 I enjoyed it. The balance was there, not too overpowering. Resinous creamy aspect with Patchouli and Spice to it. Cozy and warm. It definitely opens my nose up to trying more coffee fragrances but dark expresso type scents.

I remember thinking this was pleasant but also not dense enough for me. I'm put off the brand by the aesthetics of the bottles, and due to seeing so many spray assemblies falling apart. I like Theodoros Kalotinis Coffee Addict and Strangers Roasted Coffee. Yet to try Follow/Followed.

I don't think lavender belongs in this composition, and this coming from someone who's favorite note is lavender. I have a good collection of the Replica line, and generally rate them higher than most. Under the Lemon Trees, for instance, is my favorite lime frag. Autumn Vibes is underrated. Discontinued Across Sands and Soul of the Forest are both very good.

I haven't tried many coffee-centric fragrances, but so far in my journey it seems like Akro Awake has been the most unique of them to my nose. Based on the "smells similar" stats on Parfumo/Fragrantica, it is in the same ballpark as Follow.

the issue with the "Replica" line is that they never managed to actually create the vibes they are going for in the name. Jazz Club being chief example.

Cheers M. I only have a little 7 ml mini from this house , Jazz Club . I have been in many jazz clubs back in my younger days and I don’t get the connection at all to be honest lol , I wanna say I don’t think I would be interested in the house based on Jazz Club , since it’s a big seller, I don’t have an incentive to explore more.
