First, let me say your new car is the cats meow! Love it! Never saw white steering wheel and dash before. Even took screenshots of it off video so I could really look at it. I enjoy seeing where you walk or drive, go in shopping. You’re good company and it gets me out of the house.

Pat and I have always liked the Fiat 500, and especially the ones with the white steering wheels, they remind me of the old dodgem cars at the feasts in the 60s. There are plenty of channels that would get you out of the house, but we are glad you prefer to go with us, thank you.

Optional dinner credit- cost of dinner back if you don't eat dinner. As long as your Tracy is happy with you staying at her house, I think you made the right decision. One day you made decide you need your own space and you could look for a flat or another caravan.

Oh, is that what it means Carole, I have been turning away from deals with optional dinner credits because I didn't understand what it meant. Pat enjoys mixing with whoever is in Traceys house, I tend to spend time on my own more, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy Traceys or Alethias company. So the house allows that, but you are right, you never know. I personally would hate to live permanently in a flat or anywhere for that matter.

The hardest part of ageing is in the coming to realize we can not do things like we use to. My hubby is finally coming to that realization. A lot of simple things or what we thought were simple things take so much longer. Only you two can make a decision on what’s right for you and you have done that. I can still move with agility, and have no aches and pains, it's the slowness of my mind that surprises me the most. Pat has more than her fair share of health issues, but between us both we can compensate for what the other lacks. We are actually just a little excited by the opportunities that present themselves to us as we adjust to a new way of doing things, and that was lacking when we were trying to carry on as we were.

Totally agree with your thoughts Trevor, we are at the stage in life that maintenance of our property is beginning to be hard work, and as you say its ok if you have plenty of money! We are at a crossroads not knowing which way to go next, moving into a smaller property with a small garden would be ideal but it will be hard to do. We had 3 camper vans over nearly forty years. And all three were money pits but we had some good holidays. Got some lovely memories of our trips away but I haven't got the energy or the excitement to do camping again. It's not the same out there with the roads, booking on line, but that's progress for ya. Understand how you both feel and enjoy whatever trips you get to go on, just keep these videos coming you cheer a lot of people up.

You have both made the correct decision…. Look back on it as an enjoyable time you both shared. Now enjoy settling in to make Tracey’s home yours as well She loves you both very much, together with Tracey work changes out that make you all comfortable. Enjoy time away together staying at hotels ( looking out for specials). I’m in Australia we have a caravan we take away for a trip/ my husband and I are 62 moved to country life retired and he is busy fixing things / painting ect Listen to your chats in the morning. It was always enjoyable watching your adventures in your motorhome im sure many of us will miss them. So through an unfortunate accident certainly not by your doing or choice you no longer have your motorhome, after some hassle the insurance has paid out. Im sure you've always wanted to help your daughter financially as most parents do (mine always did) and by that misfortune now you can. They do say these things happen for a reason, who knows ❤ x

I feel you made the right decision getting the car, but like with everything it’s having the money in the pot to deal with maintenance whether it’s a property or a vehicle such as a motorhome being a prime example and the older we get it becomes more of a challenge mentally and physically being able to cope so I’m in agreement with you both ❤😊

We absolutely agree with you guys, lately as shown in next week’s video we have been on a bad run of things needing fixing on our van, some so expensive we cannot afford to do them properly, you have made an informed choice mate, not a rash decision, your years of vanlife have shown you what can and normally does need doing, which will only get more expensive as time goes by, our long term plans have not changed yet but we know they could in the blink of an eye. We think that you and Pat are wise by deciding to take advantage of the different deals that hotels are offering. Your new little car makes it possible for you to investigate the areas you stay in rather than just looking at things within walking distance of your lodgings. You made the right decision in getting the little car Trevor, you may of been lucky with another motorhome, but its always a risk and a lot of money to pay out. Ok if you had plenty of money for any problems, but it would of drained your savings if things kept going wrong. I think you have the best of both worlds now, you can still go off on adventures, but have a roof over your head too. Life gets harder when you get older, health problems etc. Its not an easy time of life. See you tomorrow, bye!

Hello both, I don't comment much but, we love watching your channel and will continue to do so. We have had similar situations to yourselves. We renovated a property and loved everything about it. The next door neighbour who was a nasty alcoholic was very jealous of everything we were doing to the property and made our lives hell. We had to end up moving because of my health being affected. We recently sold our motorhome as we were worrying about the running costs. We thought about Hotels but, again, worried about the cost of them so, we have taken a chance and bought a touring caravan. We are both unsure as to how long we can do this type of holiday because we are constantly getting a shock about the pitch fees now and the physical work that it entails. Keep up the chats as you always seem to find varied topics to chat about.

I will always watch and enjoy the chats, outings, Ernie, meals and cooking etc…basically what you get up to in a day…. I totally think you made the right decision and sort of tried to hint as much when you asked us what we thought after the smash, reasoning is, I feel you were often very stressed about money, parking, traffic, etc and none of that was going away, in fact as we get older our health declines and I was worried about that for you both. I think life is full of problems for most of us, the thing is not everyone deems certain things a problem, it’s all about individual perception…my husband is one that sees lots of problems, me I just don’t sweat the small stuff, but I am not at all pessimistic and deal with whatever life hits us with head on and practically….I mean why worry about something that may never happen?….if you have your health and a roof over your head then life is good in my book, there’s a lot worse off. That canal bridge at Rodley would be better if 2 or 3 boats needed to pass through at the same time, bit of a joint effort in fathoming out the workings of it,.
