Are you sure Aliephia hasnt quit uni?, or has she got lots of course work meant to be done at home? my Grand daughter is in every day but shes at collage it's like school with half term holidays, we are trying to book a holiday together so having to work around the school hols. There are some forums online with a lot of type 2 diabetics who are very experienced and have good tips too.

They've probably started you on a low dose and titrate according to your blood sugar levels. Its not good for your eyes to lower blood glucose too quickly 😊

Enjoy your mini break, we were born when rationing had finished but things were scarce so you were taught make do and mend, don't leave a room with a light on, my mums favourite "don't put it down put it away" and when I left school at 15 you paid housekeeping. My sister and I often look back and laugh at some of the cold winters we huddled round the fire listening to the wireless drama.

Hope you both have a great night away, you both deserve a break after the past weeks. When my daughter was at university she went everyday as she was studying psychology and English but my other daughter studied animation and didn't go in to uni half as much! But the fees were the same!!

Hi Trevor and Pat, Have a wonderful night away… you deserve it so very much. I feel your pain Pat, I have had water infections since I was 14 and I’m 70 very soon. I’m now on the second lot of 6 monthly courses of antibiotics. Coffee is an irritant but then so is almost every thing else I like. This getting old is no laughing matter but we are still laughing and you are both so lovely. Life is weird isn’t it? The world is a very different place now. Much love to you both.

Have u ever thought of going on coach holidays ,you get picked up taken to a hotel then get taken out to different places of interest ,all organised pretty good prices .The company I go with is called just go think they cover most of England .

I'm from Halifax and although I no longer live there - I was visiting my brother on saturday just gone...I was in the Piece Hall and had a look around...you are correct Trevor, it's pretty much the same...overpriced fancy little ''boutique'' shops where they want you to pay £15 for a bar of fancy soap.( I'm rolling my eyes now)! Also if Pat needs the ladies to spend a penny...there isn't one. There are two UNISEX cubicles...and some urinals for men (and any trans women who have become men and have mastered the art of peeing whilst standing up). The two cubicles are labled for men AND women - which means that men go in...I'm sorry to say that when I went in (as a fella came out) there was pee all over the floor, I got a peice of tissue paper to put the seat down becasue of course - it had been left up...the seat too was covered in pee...as you can imagine it took me quite some time, as a biological female to wipe the seat dry, place tissue all ove the seat and then use the facility...after then washing my hands and exiting- you can imagine how long the queue was - all ladies looking very annoyed. It bugs me that as women we make up at least 50% of the population, whilst trans people make up approx 0.1% and yet we must cater to them...and once agian women get literally pushed to the back of the queue...so my advice is stay away!!

The old Headmaster sounds like he knew which of your buttons to push lol. You aren’t keen on being told what to do but I think he recognized something special in you and gave you the advice you needed to be able to apply your creative skills and learn to enjoy fixing and bringing broken old pianos back to life. You even went a step further and learned to tune the pianos you fixed. What a great feeling of accomplishment you must have had. 👍👍👍.

Glad you have booked a night away. Enjoy! I started work at 12 yrs old delivering newspaper’s locally. I loved it! When I left school at 16yrs old I went to work in an office. There was no talk about university back in the 70s. I don’t think I knew it existed!

I’ll look forward to seeing what a Yorkshire breakfast is. My mum had lots of urine infections and ended up having her Gallbladder removed. She wasn’t great at drinking fluids. We would find half finished cups of tea and glasses of water all over the place. She loved drinking bottled sparkling water so I would always pick her up a pack. Have lovely Day/Night away xx

I think half the problem is that theres no longer jobs like newspaper delivery, helping milkman on his round, there are also very strict laws employing 16 year old and under.

Well I've been to Dr's I actually got in lol. However not to our Dr's it was the main one in next village. I seem to have got shingles and it's painful, It's the size of a 50p. She told me I can't have the normally prescribed anti inflammatory because of the asthma then prescribed me some. I'm just waiting for Dr's to reopen so i can ask.
