I made these all white for our last family Easter gathering before relocating six years ago. So glad I found your easy instructions and the great idea to use food coloring to dye the filters. My 5 year old granddaughter has been eager to decorate for Easter and was so excited to assist me to dye the filters one by one. Can’t wait to assemble the flowers and see her sheer delight!

I did this and put the water in zip lock bags in my sink. If I couldn't get them all dyed in one setting, I didn't have to worry about spills.

About how far apart did you space each row/layer? Did you do 1 layer per each ring?

Joan Clark wow, I need to be better about getting on and checking put my videos and comments lol! Yes, for the small and medium the coffee filters should be one layer in each row. As the lanterns get bigger in size, the more filters you'll need. And space them closer together
