New subscriber.... i think its that you talk us though each phase... Ideas... people who dont wanna use their oven can si gle layer dry them overnight on a table/counter or outside in tbe sun. Coloring...whitman food color gels or organic food coloring offers brighter/darker different color palettes. Also washables markers (inside fiber) and wzter color paints. Some of these might be more expensive but if somebody's really intrested in these being in their home or as a gift or for a wedding or shower to me it's worth the extra price especially if you're going to be doing it quite a bit. Thank you so much for the tutorials. Also...its coming up closed captioned...thats so grat for hearing impaired or for when Someone wants to watch this and not interrupt someone else and maybe you don't have headsets you can literally watched this video and read while you demonstrate and I think that's great as well. Looking forward to more videos .

Beautiful! I absolutely love watching her! Is she using gel food color? I used cheap liquid food coloring for the large roses, and while they were beautiful, the dye was a bit splotchy and didn't saturate well throughout. I'm planning to make a bouquet for my mil and I want it to be more precise. Should I change food coloring?

Hi Christy, I used food colouring from loblaws grocery store. It’s called “color rite “ made by wilton. It’s made in USA. They are not gel. The secret to creating a more intense colour is by using less water. So it’s not as diluted. The food colour you have is fine, I’ve used that too but you will need to use a bit more food colour to achieve the shade you like. I prefer it when the colour is more uneven as I think it creates a more realistic effect , gives the flower dimension. Hope this helps and your creations turn out great. Thanks for watching!

Hello Suzy, thank you for this great video. I have been trying to make the large bud, however, I don't understand how you fold the lip at the tip. I can't see in the video. Could you please help? Thank you kindly, Suzy!
@suzyrebelo

Hi there. So fold the filter in half, fold over about 1/4” lip. Place filter with folded lip down on your table. You should be looking at a folded filter no lip place your finger in the middle of the filter , top straight edge, wrap the filter around your finger , tip of your finger should be inside the point of the filter. So you should have a funnel. Place the funnel over the paper towel bud. Hold it in place and twist the overlap paper , making the funnel tight around the bud. You should see the folded edge with the lip swirl around your bud down to the base of the rose. Twist the filter around the base flaring it down the wire. If it looks good to you , gently unwind the filter ,add glue and confirm to the bud. It should have a little opening on the top of the bud. Do the same with the next filter but just turn it a bit so it alternates with the previous filter. Omg I how I haven’t confused you. Let me know if this helped.

Hello Suzy, thank you so very much for your answer. I think that I made the "stuffing" for the cone too thick and therefore the coffee filter cone didn't enfold it all the way. I'll try again with another "pillow". God bless you Suzy, have a great evening! ps: I loved it when you said in Italian "la rosa, bella!" ha, haa, I am part italian.

I have loads of crepe paper would that work for these flowers? I bet you can’t stop making them
@suzyrebelo
@suzyrebelo 3 жыл бұрын
Crepe paper is even more effective. It has the stretch that will allow you to shape petals beautifully. Obviously, you wouldn’t dye the crepe. I’m not sure the patterns I use would make for nice crepe flowers. Look up “lia Griffith “ on KZbin. She has a craft school teaching you all about crepe paper flowers. She makes amazing flowers. If you do try making my flowers, I’d love to see how they turn out.

Burn dia Ana. Peru has beautiful coffee! I’m in Canada so I buy the coffee paper or filter at my grocery store but You can buy these from Amazon. They should be inexpensive. Ususally the package has about 200 coffee filters. This paper is great to use because it’s made to get wet without tearing. I hope this helps so you can make these too. Thanks for watching.

Blue plus red makes purple, yellow plus red makes orange, Blue and yellow makes green, Green neutralizes red and vice versa, violet neutralizes yellow. Basic color theory. White lightens and black darkens. When you mix the colors opposite on the color wheel you will make some shade of brown or beige. Putting colors opposite on the color wheel next to each other they will compliment each other and make the other color pop.
